Good afternoon and well done losers, chin up people who have gained or sts.
I'm making roast chicken tonight with new potatoes(jersey royal yummm - I love the season) carrots, and cabbage. I was going to do the kievs again but had my heb this morning, so my question is this. The philadelphia light and garlic mix for kievs, how could I make this into a sauce to pour over my chicken and new potatoes? Should I just place it into a pan and melt it down? Any tips would be very welcome!
Hi lalamb,
Philly tends to "bubble" and burn very quickly when it gets hot, so the way I use it to make sauces is to cook the garlic (and any onion etc) down first in a pan (lightly) to soften it. Once it's ready, I turn the heat of and take the pan off and then add cream cheese, stirring until it's all mixed. The sauce tends to thin itself down and warms quickly from the residual heat in the pan. If you want it a bit thinner use some water from boiled veg or a splash from the kettle.
A sprinkle of nutmeg for cream cheese sauce is lovely btw!
Hope that helps!Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

Well Done Blowden, Invisibleyousee on the lossMediterranean_Mum wrote: »I definitely feel the difference in my digestion following SW. I used to suffer terrible heartburn after eating but now don't. When I completely fell off plan over the last month it all came back again and that horrible lethargic feeling that goes with it. Don't you just wish you could bottle it and take a whiff of it every time you feel like going off plan????
.. bottling it .. good idea. I have a particular song that reminds me of the misery i felt while comfort eating my way up the scales. hate listening to it, but its a popular one for radio play... so i get regular flashbacks.
Cranny EE allows you to eat loads..mostly with rice and pasta, but it only works if you include 1/3 superfree.
Rachbc, glad you found your mojo.. have you seen mine?
Piglet... OMG well done. The closer to your target the harder it is. Gettingthere is right (if only she would listen to her own wisdom at times eh)

Lalamb, add some stock to the phili/garlic mix and then heat it all together gently, being careful not to let it boil.Mediterranean Mum

3 chunks from a 140g bar is 4.5 syns, if that helps!
I think the chunk/square sizes are the same for each bar size.Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

Thanks for the advice, I will try it tonight. I love nutmeg in cream sauces, had it with cabbage before and it is yummy!0
