I like to have a piece of WM bread sometimes for my HEB but I struggle to know what to put on it that doesn't cost me syns and there are only so many times you can eat beans on toast...
Love it or hate it, I like toast spread with Marmite and then slices of cucumber on top.0 -

I just cooked a few potatoes and a large cauliflower,
will let them cool down and mash... add a chopped and frylight fried onion, some garlic, an egg or two and a bit of milk and spices... I'll then fry them with a bit of fry light or bake in the oven depending how they turn out
I am very experimental in the kitchen and only ever read recipies for ideas and never really follow them... I'll let you know if they turn out nice
I am exactly the same Cz - I like the sounds of these cakes and will definitely try them. I would probably also add some chopped parsley to the mixture. How many eggs and how much milk did you end up using and did you bake or fry them in the end?chirpy_chick wrote: »Hi Everyone,
Hope you have all had a good Monday, and all keeping motivated with sw.
2nd day on sw, so far so good, although I am missing chocolate, its my weakness, all the syns for chocolate seem loads on sw compared to ww, but sw does seem much better as don't feel hungry at all.
Eat chocolate CC - we have syns and that's exactly what they're there for. We all get the munchies and cravings and you shouldn't feel guilty. It's like going cold turkey with anything - drink, ciggies - it's so difficult, so wean yourself off gently and use the syns that are there to help you through - good luckHello all
May I join in please? I have done SW before and lost but then circumstances changed and gradually the weight crept back on ... New hubby, job, home etc! No excuse I know ...
Anyway, some bright spark at work decided to do "the biggest loser" challenge so I, in my infinate wisdom (sp), joined! I cant get to classes so have copied the SW book belonging to a colleague who is doing really well and is around to advise etc if needed. My first week WI I've lost 5lb!
I know I have no hope of actually winning the challenge and I will never be a supermodel size 6, however I am looking forward to fitting more comfortably in my clothes and if anything else happens its a bonus!
I'd appreciate a bit of support as and when I can get on here if thats ok please ladies (& gents?)
Many thanks! Keep on losing!
NN x
Welcome NN - don't be negative before you've even got going - no reason why you couldn't win the challenge - just look at some of the amazing results of the people on the board here. It doesn't happen that quickly for everyone but you know what, just by losing some weight, looking better and feeling better about yourself will make you a winner - good luckMediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
It's 6.15am and I'm just about to leave for my early morning business meeting. This has always caused me problems because of the breakfast there and throws me out for the rest of the day. However I've hopefully planned and prepared and have my food ready for the rest of the day so that I'm not standing looking at the fridge and grabbing whatever I can find.
Have a great day everyone.Mediterranean Mum

It was a friends birthday on Saturday and the meal venue was an "all you can eat" Chinese - felt v proud of myself for staying away from all of the spring rolls/prawn crackers etc, and made sure I filled my plate with the vegetable dishes, tofu in garlic sauce and some rice/noodles. Even allowed myself some chocolate cake for pudding with banana, and some grapes aftet.
Well done on resisting the buffet, :T I avoid these like the plague as once its all laid down infront of me the sights and smells just tip me over the edge and I have try EVERYTHING!!!0 -
chirpy_chick wrote: »Thank you for that, will deff give that a go, as am struggling with no chocolate.
Don't restrict yourself with chocolate - it will only lead to giving into the cravings and gorging yourself :EasterBun
Use your syns on some chocolate every night if you want to that is what they are there for.0 -
gettingthere54 wrote: »Listen, a pound is a pound! Look at it this way, you have LOST & NOT GAINED so a pat on the back is in order :A
I cannot count the times when I have said " I only lost 1 pound ", only the week after to have stayed the same or lost half, and then the " only 1 pound " actually sounded real good.
So don't beat yourself up, celebrate :T
Thanks..

I've not stepped on the sclaes this week yet - its 'that time' for me plus I had a weekend of 'flexible syns' to put it mildly. Unfortunately I got stuck on a train for 6 hours and the only 'food' they distributed were crisps and shortbread - hmpfPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
