    Morning all,

First weigh in last night - lost 4.5lb :D Am going to do more red and green days this week I think, so fingers crossed for a decent loss - second week is always difficult for me. Today's menu isn't great as I am a bit unorganised after getting home late from fat club last night then making soup for tonight, didn't really have time to think what I was going to eat today!

    Anyway, today's plan- green:
B: Bran flakes (HEB), ss milk (HEA), banana
    L: Mugshot, apple, strawberries
T: HM leek and potato soup, LCL triangles (HEA) on toast (HEB)
    S: Yogurt (2), French Fries (4.5), mini milk (1.5)
Eat chocolate CC - we have syns and that's exactly what they're there for. We all get the munchies and cravings and you shouldn't feel guilty. It's like going cold turkey with anything - drink, ciggies - it's so difficult, so wean yourself off gently and use the syns that are there to help you through - good luck

Completely agree with this - some days you might not feel like anything sweet or snacky, but if you do, have it and syn it! :)

    Have a good day losers!

Beef Strips from farmfoods - (SYNNED to the high heavens which suprised me as thought they would be free as meat ).

Surprised to hear this too- is there quite a high fat content? Never had them but they sound like the kind of thing that I'd buy thinking they are free! :(

Cant remember fat content off the top of my head, calories is 209 per 100g . When i put the nutrition info into the SW calculator it said 11.5 syns for 100g. I nearly had a heart attack. I wish i would have checked before i threw into my cous cous :eek:

I also checked the frozen chicken chunks/strips but thankfully they are still free *phew*. Need to check out the pork as well as i have used a pack of that the week before last.

Did you tick the box on the syns calculator for beef being a "free food" ? That would make a difference to the syns value.

  • Hi all,

Last night was my 1st weigh in - and I lost 2.5lbs :-) quite pleased with that, here's hoping that I'll be able to achieve a loss next week as well!

Hope everyone else is doing okay - I'm craving ice-cream, I saw a recipe on the SW site for homemade free ice cream using muller light and fat free fromaige frais so may have to give that a go this week! I'll let you know how it works out!

Also - does anybody here do Green days? I've been following EE this past week, but as a non-meat eater (other than a very occasional piece of chicken breast), I think I might be better of doing Green days all the time...any help/advice much appreciated!

I almost lived on spicy lentil stew and shepherds pie at the weekend plus lots of vegetables.

Since my Mr S order I don't think I have posted here. All the extra frozen veg arrived and I have to say have come in very useful indeed BUT I forgot to order all the fresh fruit and vegetables. As a result I had to send Mr Pooh to the Sp*r which cost an arm and a leg.

We had family here and were invited out so wherever we went I took my trusty stew and 1 syn yoghurts. I felt very noble, but on weighing today I have gained 1/2lb. official WI isn't on this week so I used my own scales and two days early too.

invisible I think the main thing about SW is the lower amounts of fat you use. I have stopped taking my heartburn meds and if I have any fat it kicks off big style. certainly keeps me on the straight and narrow.

Today I splurged and had milk on my porridge. It fas skimmed and tasted really creamy compared to having it made with water. Yum, and part of my HEA.

Lunch will be more lentil stew, then it will all be gone, with peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes.

Dinner: stir fried (no fat) chicken and vegetables with plain rice.

    syns hot chocolate at bedtime.

Congratulations on your loss! Some posters just put the yogurt in the freezer for a while and say it makes a good ice cream substitute for a snack. Hopefully someone who's tried it will be along soon.

I wouldn't worry too much about an unofficial weigh in two days early!!! Just carry on sticking to the plan and your official weigh in.

As for the fat, I'm also amazed at my intolerance to fatty foods after eating SW. It can make me fee quite queasy which is a good incentive not to eat too much rubbish.;)
  • I definitely feel the difference in my digestion following SW. I used to suffer terrible heartburn after eating but now don't. When I completely fell off plan over the last month it all came back again and that horrible lethargic feeling that goes with it. Don't you just wish you could bottle it and take a whiff of it every time you feel like going off plan????
