Thanks Med Mum - we are going away for the weekend on 18th May for my brother in law's 40th birthday and I would really like to have my 3st by then. OH and I haven't been away for the weekend without kids for about 4 years so it will be lovely. Did a urine test this morning as she still has some pain but a lot less than it was on Friday. I suspect that it's a UTI so she'll probably need antibiotics - thanks for asking.Mediterranean Mum

I love humous and it's one of the things I've been looking for an alternative to. I made this this afternoon and it tastes really good -
Sweet Potato Spread
½ cup sweet potato, roasted
1 cup chickpeas, cooked
1 tblspn lemon juice
1 tblspn basil
1 clove garlic
salt & pepper to taste
Put all ingredients, except salt and pepper into a food processor
Puree until smooth

I like to have a piece of WM bread sometimes for my HEB but I struggle to know what to put on it that doesn't cost me syns and there are only so many times you can eat beans on toast...If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -

Afternoon everyone,
Just had a quick catch up - this thread moves quickly at the weekend! Decent weekend for me foodwise- well within syns but had a few meals where I didn't have my full quota of superfreeI put it down to feeling rubbish with this cold and not really feeling like fruit or veggies, or indeed cooking! Did the best I could under the circumstances and stuck to it other than that.

Funny you should put this recipe as I made a similar soup on Sat, but with a couple more peppers, garlic and ginger thrown in. I had some frozen ginger and couldn't get one of the blocks apart so threw it all it - let's just say it was a little...piquant! I told OH I had done it on purpose so the garlic and ginger would fight the cold :rotfl:
Got first weigh in tonight so finger crossed. Had planned to get a bit of extra exercise in by walking from work to class (4 miles) then home (just over 1 mile) afterwards, but since we've just had half an hour of torrential hail I don't think that's looking likely! Will probably walk from home to class and back though - good excuse to get OH to have tea on the table for when I get in! Had a nice walk around the park with OH yesterday and hoping for a sunny day tomorrow as got a couple of friends coming round after work. It had originally been planned as wine night but when I mentioned I was fat clubbing one of them said she's trying to be healthier too so it was decided we'll go for a walk instead and I'll make some soup for our return (one is vegan so it's difficult to make anything unhealthy anyway!)
So, today's food:
B: 2 weetabix (HEB), milk (HEA), banana
L: Sweet potato and pepper soup, apple
T: Beef stir fry with noodles and loads of veg, chow mein sauce (3)
S: Grapes, yogurt, post-WI treat (probably Rocky and Options - 7.5)
