Good morning
I've had a fab weekend, roast dinner yesterday, with lamb and all the trimming, it was yummmmmmmy!
I've decided to join a gym this week, I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday and she mentioned it. I've been putting it off for 2 years, that's how long it's been since I stopped going last time.......but my kids were younger then and it was much harder for me to commit to X amount of time......now they are older I can commit to more 'me' time. I love going to the gym and swimming so this should push my weight loss a bit more.

Food diary for today:
B - banana, pear
S - mullerlight; dairylea light triangle (HEA)
L - potato salad (5 syns), sliced chicken; satsuma, pear, banana
S - 2 boiled eggs
D - SW chips, sliced chicken, salad
WI again tomorrow so we'll see how that goes!
I've never had blistered feet, but the sore bum and swollen fingers I can empathise with - 2 laps of the block and i'm fine, but if I throw a 3rd one in then my bum starts to ache!
Fingers are fine if I walk with them up - I used to do a lot of walking in the countryside and I knew to hold the straps of my rucksack at chest level - If I did it there were no swollen fingers.
another foggy/wet day here:mad::mad::mad:!
I can't wait foor the decent weather so I can get my posh new Fitflops out! Walking in them is a cracking bum tone.....
I joined in July 2010 and have lost 5.5 stones. I LOVE the eating plan...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Made this soup (can't remember where I found the recipe) today for lunch - really quick and really tasty. I'll definitely be making it again as it's perfect for putting in a flask and taking with me on days when I'm on the run.
Sweet Potato & Red Pepper Soup
2 large sweet potatoes, cubed
2 large red pepper, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
2 pint stock
Spray a saucepan with Frylight
Saute the peppers and onions until soft
Add the stock and the potatoes and bring to the boil
Simmer until the potatoes are soft
Liquidize and check seasoningMediterranean Mum

I have exactly the same - sometimes it feels like I've pulled a muscle in my bum!

I must remember that as I always get swollen fingers when we're out for any length of time. I have noticed though this week, since increasing the amount of water I'm drinking, that my fingers have been a lot less swollen when out walking.

So jealous - I can't find Fitflops to fit me - my feet are too wide!Mediterranean Mum

Gosh Monday already - WI tonight so a little bit nervous!
It was a friends birthday on Saturday and the meal venue was an "all you can eat" Chinese - felt v proud of myself for staying away from all of the spring rolls/prawn crackers etc, and made sure I filled my plate with the vegetable dishes, tofu in garlic sauce and some rice/noodles. Even allowed myself some chocolate cake for pudding with banana, and some grapes aftet.
Yesterday went well - had the MIL over for lunch so I cooked a huge vegetable chilli (onion, courgette, carrot, tomatoes, kidney beans etc) and had that with boiled rice and some mixed salad leaves. Dinner was a small portion of a pasta bake - cheese sauce made with quark mixed with cooked onions and garlic with chives. Yummy! Mixed in some green beans/sugar snap peas/mangetout. Even the OH enjoyed it.
Biggest thing I've noticed in the past week is that I'm eating a lot less fat - I normally use sunflower oil/olive oil quite a bit in my cooking, but instead I'm now using fry-light for cooking. Also, I'm eating a lot more fruit - snacking on apples through the day and addicted to strawberries as a sweet dessert at home too :-)Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

I'm with you on that one, I went to a wedding last weekend and HAD to wear my not so sexy hold-em-all-in shorts that go up to my boobs :rotfl: In my defence I find they actually make me stand taller, thus giving the appearance of being skinnier IYSWIM!!
I have a dress a bit like that from Toast. It's a beautiful handkerchief-hem sundress with fabric buttons down the back, but weirdly, though it's a size 12 there is a point across the bra line where it is unusually tight (I have small boobs and big hips so it'susually the hips of dresses that catch me out). However, when I wear it I'm so aware that the buttons might ping off that I have amazing posture - twice I've been asked if I have ever been a dancer when I'm wearing it! Which of course makes me laugh hysterically, but is quite flattering! Worn it for two weddings now. A keeper. Oh, and yes, buttons have pinged off when I've not been paying attention....:o0
