Well Day one went well, I even managed 30 minutes on the Wii, I can't remember who mentioned it (this thread moves so fast and there are so many of you!) but I have Just Dance 3 I originally got it for my 2 DD's but I've actually spent more time on it, you can tailor your work out to 'sweat' as much as you want I love it and find it really motivating trying to beat my own top score!

Med Mum I'm glad your DD is ok, must have been quite scary for you.

CZerniacha well done on a fantastic weight loss, I love pulling in the big ones makes it all so worth it.

I hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend.

    Meal plan for today-
B- Shredded Wheat Bitesize Honey & Nut and Milk (a & b) with some grapes
L- Chicken salad sandwich (6) with tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, some crab sticks and an orange
T- will be chicken with rice and red and green peppers, red onion, spring onion with lime and corainder. Muller light with raspberries and strawberries.
Snacks maybe some melon or an apple if I feel like it

I vowe to do another 30 minutes on the Wii tonight, feel like I have the exercise bug back again (love it when that happens :D)

    -4lbs this week! :j:j:j

well done Czerniacha - great result.

to go back to the question of superfree and chilli or spag bol, I actually sat down and read all the SW material today and on page 27 of the main book it says -

Dinner - Fill up with chilli con carne packed with satisfying free food: onion, mushroom, garlic, yellow and red pepper, extra lean minced beef, chopped tomatoes, red kidney beans and a sprinkling of chilli powder and smoked paperika. Serve with a generous serving of rice and bowl of superfree salad.

I've highlighted exactly as it is in the book.

  • thanks again for all the good wishes for DD - she seems to be OK but DH and I have both had pains today and I'm wondering if we haven't all caught some kind of bug - last week I thought I had a bladder infection but it never came to anything but been peeing like mad today and pains in my stomach so maybe it is and maybe we've all got something like it.

I'll see how we are tomorrow and maybe make a dr appointment for Monday.

MM~hope that you are all on the mend soon.

    A wee question from me.
As a newie at SW I take it if I have 15 syns instead of 10 it means a slightly less weight loss IYSWIM?
Was out last night and recken I had maybe 20 syns and have had about 10-15 every other day so cant claw back IYSWIM?

    thanks, I'm really chuffed :D

shopping done :) I decided to swap mullerlight for activia as I find them much nicer :) although the greek ones are fine :) got some oranges and lemons(thinking of drinking hot water&lemon in the mornings) with the 1gbp off voucher in T and some cheese and sliced cooked meat too... will try to get some frozen stuff tomorrow as well :)

I asked my consultant about the 1syn=20kcal thing and she said it's rubbish? I gave starbucks coffee as an example but no... I still can't understand how espresso and milk can be more syns then what's in milk :([/QUOTE

Isn't it strange that these consultants vary in there knowledge, we are told time and again and reiterated when new ones start that you work on the principle of 1 syn = 20 cals, that's why if you look at a pkt of French fries for example 88 cals so that works out 5 syns cos the 8 is more than 80 so nearest round up is 100 so therefore.5 syns, hope this helps, it would be interesting what others have been told? I leave it with you!

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

really having to try hard to resist the bad snack food tonight. having a bad day today (compared to normal) and feel a little down, with the result that i want comfort food which isnt syn free in any stretch.

a big mug of tea is soothing but not what i want (in my head).. think i just need a big cuddle really :S
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

This week will be a little non SW friendly I think! Had a chippy for dinner, was good up until then though. My finals start on Monday so I'm going to try and be as good as I can but not going to beat myself up for going off plan. Plus it's my 30th on Wednesday so going out for lunch with hubby so no doubt there will be cake.
