I understand it, the one third of your plate doesn't have to be veg - you could have fruit but you would need to eat at the same time as your lunch or evening meal.

I know tweaking isn't official but I've always worked on at least a third of a day's intake being superfree. On a good day it will be meal by meal but often I'll have a huge pile of veg (e.g. stir-fry) with my dinner knowing that perhaps my lunch has been something like a JP with beans. I'll also snack on some fruit mid afternoon or morning if my 'meal' hasn't had much. I used to find keeping my own food diary in columns (free, superfree, syns and HExs) helped because if the superfree column looked a bit empty I'd scoff a few satsumas or take a spoon to the jar of pickled beetroot!

My legs are really sore after yesterday's jog and my feet are aching from dancing in high heels all night!

All good Body Magic!! (and superfree lemon in the G&T!;)) I'm glad you had a good time and well done for getting straight back on plan.

Its been a good day so far - lots of exercise and food good as far as now.
Exercise - 35 min brisk walk with music and dog, 1 hour mowing the forest that was my back lawn, 30 min stroll round the park with the dog in the sun.

    Food
Breakfast - Fibre plus bar (these are still a HEB?)
Lunch - 2 satsumas, banana, apple (busy gardening)
Tea - quorn ham, new potatoes in 1 tsp of mayo, big salad of lettuce, cucumber, tomato, beetroot, boiled egg, pickled cabbage, little bit of cheese

That leaves plenty of give for a snack later if needed.
I've also drunk 2 cans of diet pepsi and 2 pints of squash so far - another 2 pints to go.

The sunny weather definitely helps with food doesn't it? I nearly wavered in the park at the ice cream van but there was a queue about 40 long so crisis averted! (Although a nice lolly would have done).

My old consultant always used to say a third of your day should be super free, so I must admit I tend to stick to that when I do EE. I usually stick to green though as I don't eat meat and don't eat much fish.

Having potato wedges with my HE A of cheese melted on them with tea. I cannot wait!

I've been doing the same since starting in Jan. I've been losing 1 - 2 lbs steadily per week, and find it really easy to stick to. Perhaps I could lose more if I followed it better, but I guess as long as it works for you and gets the result you want, that's the main thing.

I love EE, I feel like I'm not really on a diet and can feed it to all the family without complaint. What could be better?

    Hi Everyone

Weigh in tomorrow and feeling nervous about it already (like usual). I find i get to sunday PM and i already am "mentally preparing myself" just incase i have maintained or gained . :o

I have had 2 "bad days" this week where i have been over my syns so to try and make up for it i have avoided alcohol/chocolate this weekend to try and make up for it. Think i had my "bad days" because i have been tired and not planned in advance what i am eating which has meant that i have been hurried in my food choices.

I have eaten the following today -

B - 30g All Bran Golden crunch (HEB) with 200ml of skimmed milk(HEA).

L - Leftovers - H/M potato & veggie curry the sauce made with fromage frais and a teaspoon of curry powder (1 syn)

D - Rocket leaves, mushrooms, green pepper and shredded carrot topped with a chicken breast filled with 25g extra light philli (1.5 syns) and wrapped with 2 slices of mattessons turkey rashers. YUM :D.

Snacks - apple, sugar free jelly (0.5 syns) , fat free flump twist (1.5 syns) and a packet of rooks veggie/rice corn snacks (4 syns )

That sounds exactly like my SW 'journey' doing exactly the same thing. I'm glad to hear your consultant endorsed that. I averaged 1 -1.5 lbs a week and lost my 3.5 stone in 10 months (allowing for some STS or gains in holidays) and I've kept it off since August!:D Totally agree that it's like 'normal' food in normal quantities and DH was happy to eat it all along with me.

    My food diary today:

coffee with 175ml whole milk, alpen light bar
    mango and strawberries
    chicken cous cous salad, apple
coffee with 200ml whole milk(7 syn), alpen light bar
    plum
SW chips, gammon steak+egg, fried cabbage+mushrooms+carrots+garlic

dinner was I think the best I had so far! :D My bf eats the same now(with odd slop of mayo) and he doesn't complain... Bad thing is I need to re-train him in terms of cooking  He recently learned how to cook and I didn't need to some evenings but it was mostly meat in nice, creamy sauces with butter and cream and all 'bad' things so I need to start teching him again... :rotfl:

went clothes shopping today and didn't buy much as I couldn't stop looking at lovely summer dresses 2-3 sizes smaller and think that I will be able to get them soon and shouldn't buy bigger stuff now :p got one but I think I will still be able to wear it when I 'shrinked' :rotfl:and the whole experience was really motivating too :T

had a baaaaaad day today - was in work from two this afternoon until about 20 mins ago and decided to weigh myself when i got home, bad times. according to my scales, ive gained about 1.5lbs... so, for the rest of the week (until thurs WI) im gonna try to go to minimal syns.

though i know exactly where i went wrong - today was the bridal fair in work, so food was a grab and go scenario (i didnt have a chance to make anything before i left the house), and what was grab-able wasnt healthy in any form. so, tomorrow im going to the shops and stocking up on healthy. no treats for the rest of the week :) - i will not be STS at WI if i can help it
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
