Creeps back with tail between her legs........

Please can I come back? I lost over a stone last year with SW and you lovely people and then separated from my now exOH, turned 40 and slowly the lbs have crept back on.
I'm not going to dwell I just want to get rid of them again - the turning point was this week, my divorce was finally official, my jeans felt really tight and I'm sure a woman at work looked at me with that "you've put on weight" look (maybe not but that's how it felt).

So, enough procrastinating and time to get on with it - I can do it so now I will do it.

I've been shopping today and bought loads of SW friendly stuff and no naughties at all and will weigh in the morning and start then properly. I've been fairly good today and could really count today as Day 1 but I'd rather wait until I weigh.

So, I'm off to walk to the shops to buy the new mag and get a bit of exercise in the bargain.
    Thanks for having me back........

I bought this and hated it. Only ever used it once in tea and it tasted really artificial and the aftertaste was awful.
It might be better in cooking but I don't want to waste food by trying it.

ah? well I don't use sugar in anything really except for adding a pinch to tomato-based sauces so I was just going on what a friend said (by his size he uses a LOT of sugar etc;, he is, I think, with WW but tweaks it to suit himself - double vodka with diet coke anyone? ten of 'em in an afternoon anyone?)

I've given myself an afternoon "off" as it's Saturday, I won't say what delicious things I have eaten as I don't want to make anyone's mouth water while the shops are still open. Back on track for the rest of this evening and the rest of the week.

    CLOCKS FORWARD TONIGHT!
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

well, my 'big' blow out didn't really happen

    sw breakfast(coffee, bowl of fruit)
    sw lunch(fish quiche, plum)
    alpen light bar
    sw dinner(chicken cous cous salad)

the 'blow out' bit is 2 ciders(so far, might have another) and a few mint chocs :o

don't really feel like I need to indulge any more

definitely back on track tomorrow as I am thrilled by this week WI and want MORE MORE MORE :p

also I noticed I am slowly eating less then when I first started last week... I think I was a bit 'greedy' and really excited about all the things I'm 'allowed' to eat at wanted them all, now I'm thinking that I actually have lots of food in my fridge and need to use it but there isn't enough time/meals to have it all
hope that's where the 'portion control' comes in naturally :p

got the ceasar salad spray today, will let you know if it's nice when I try it(maybe tomorrow) :)

Oh gosh I'm back with bright red ashamed cheeks. My one week holiday turned into five weeks off slimming world. miraculously I've kept the weight off! Need to get serious and lose again now.

Can anyone suggest ideas for lunch? I like having sandwiches as I have no microwave but my B allowance goes on toast for Brekkie which I can't give up or potato at night... I like carbs with all meals. Obviously salads...but I can't eat salad every day...any ideas?

cous cous with chicken/tuna and veg

    pasta/noodles chicken/prawns stir fry

    any kind of risotto

chicken/prawn/mackarel salad with pasta if you wish

    tomato soup with pasta/rice

    and so on... :)

I don't really do receipes :) I might look at some to give me ideas what to 'throw together' but basically just try to combine whatever you have in the fridge or fancy :)

    And I don't have a microwave either :) just use hob/oven :)

Have just weighed:eek: and its about what I thought it would be (a nice round 11 stone).
But instead of making me run to the biscuit tin its made me quite determined. The long term plan is 1 stone off but I'm going to aim for smaller chunks - 7lbs by the end of April will do me nicely to start with.

I'm just off to take the dog for a long brisk walk with the ipod to wake us both up and then its a day of school work and sorting out the back garden (more exercise).
There's plenty of food in so I'll sort out a meal plan later - I'm focussing on minimal syns to start with as I need to make myself understand that life goes on without family bags of crisps (my biggest weakness) and drinking at least 2 litres of water (with NAS squash in it, can't stand plain water) every day to help flush myself out.
Right, wish me luck - I'm back on board!

Thanks CERN - should have mentioned I do red and green days as I can't eat much veg due to food intolerances so can't do EE.

Had a think and decided I'll have to use syns for potatoes or bread... Despite always wanting them for maltesers!!

I still can't get my head around the red and green days :/

tried to read it through a few times but I'm still confused...

However I think EE is perfect for me, I love meat, fruit and veg, see bread/cereal as a 'treat' anyway so 1 is enough(had days when I only used 1/2 of it) could probebly do with more milk/cheese but I can always syn it so it's ok

Sorry ammonite can't help any further with the lunches :(
