Divide your starting weight by 10 and then subtract this from your start weight.
I was 148lbs to start with so I take 14.8lbs off that to get 9st 7.5lbs as my club10.

I'm going to make Lasagne tonight from the Extra Easy Cookbook.

Instead of the cheese sauce layer they use they use ff natural yogurt mixed with egg. I'm trying to use up what I have in the fridge so do you think it would be OK to use ff cottage cheese (drained of the watery stuff) + egg for one layer and Quark + egg for the other?

    Thanks.

My gut instinct is that it would be fine, but the cottage cheese may separate a bit. I'm not sure how well it cooks. But it will taste yum!
  • I've made it like this but with a soft white cheese - not cottage cheese. I think it's probably like what you call quark - I used a tub of quark and an egg and some seasoning and it was really nice.

WI today and I lost 3lbs. That puts me just inside the lower end of my target so I'll have to do my meal plan carefully this week.

Our consultant came up with a list of 10 challenges for the week where she wanted us to choose 3. Good ideas for anyone flagging a bit.
    1. 3 x 15 mins of exercise per week
    2. 5 pieces of fruit and veg before any syns
    3. Try a plan you don't usually do
    4. Have 7 different B choices
    5. Have at least 3 items of superspeed a day
    6. Drink 6-8 glasses of water/diet drin per day
    7. Try a new fruit
    8. 3 x 10 min walks
    9. Do a week's food diary in full
    10. read the Food Optimising book again.
    Wow! Congratulations xx

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!

I was wanting to join this thread and wondered if I could ask you experts a quick question....

Both hubby and I are following the plan, I have 2stone to get to my target and hubby has (a lot) more but it is easier both doing it. We are both doing EE at the moment. I know you are are allowed up to 105 syns a week so around 15 a day, is it better to "use these up" or not if I don't fancy anything. In the past my weight loss has always been slow (not on SW) when I have tried and I am worried that if I actually use the syns every day then my losses will be lower than if I didn't. My diet so far has been some days of no syns and some where I have used them for stuff like gravy/ butter but no real treats like choccy. On the optomising are you better to use them?

Also - hubby rarely used his HEA (the milk one) or only part uses it like 2 extra low laughing cow triangles. A work colleague says that he ought to have his full quota every day for best weight loss - is this correct (ignoring of course the lack of calcium in his diet lol!)

    Thanks

Hi-well I've followed the EE plan for a week now and it is D day this evening-WI! I'm really nervous in case I get on the scales and have put on about 7lbs! I have really enjoyed my food this week and stuck to the diet so we'll see-i'm going to persevere with this though because I've eaten so much fruit and veg this week and not snacked on bread and choccies that it can't be bad for me. Well done everyone who lost weight. LOL at the poo stories-I had an op about a month ago and the codeine completely stopped me from going for a week! My doctor warned me that codeine was addictive but I'd never be addicted to constipation!

I used half a tub of quark, chopped onions and some of my he milk blended, then simmered down. Smelt and tasted d-lish. Though i didn't let it reduce like i should have. I know a lady at group that does uses cottage cheese because yoghurt doesn't taste quite right.

i'd love to be 30 (again) best part of my life until this year! I have 2lb to get to club10, and 3.5 to collect my 2 stone sticky/certificate...:D.
Drink plenty of water (sip) in your finals -it helps you think (according to the beeb)

    :hello: Hello!
It's taken me 8 weeks to realise that syns aren't EVIL they are there to be enjoyed, included in meals or used up as snacks, so allow yourself to use them if you need to, but don't use them for the sake of it... if that makes sense. You don't have to use all of them every day. Think of it this way, if you stopped sw today, would you have to have more syns to eat healthly? ( I don't mean to scoff pizzas and chinese every night:rotfl:)
Or would you maintain the path your on? Of course a syn free day every now and then helps weight loss, but a syn free day every day would be slightly uninspiring ..for me. I like my wine, cheese and pastry on my pie!
If you are both following the same plan you could use your HEA in cooking- home made pizzas etc..;)
