    Piglet,
So sorry for you, I feel your pain.
I myself am struggling at the moment despite being 100% on plan the scales are going UP!!
It's a very trying time for me but with all the help and support from all the lovely ladies ( and gents ?) on this forum its bearable :D
Keep on in there girl you know you can do it!!:A
my weigh in is tonight and I reckon I will be the same! Swam yesterday ( 52 lengths) cycled to get there - 6 mile round trip and walked the usual 4 miles. My scales say 1-2lbs on this week - and * isn't due until the end of next week!

I could bang my head against a wall!:mad::mad:

    it is just so:mad::mad::mad::mad: maddening!!!

i am going to stick with it tho, i have come further than i even thought i would in 40 weeks, tho i have made no real headway the past 3 weeks, i got a pair of jeans 6 weeks ago, and they are too big now, and i have only lost 8.5lbs in that time, so i am going to stick with it, in the hope that it will all come good soon

i dont want it to take me near as long to loose 9lbs, as it did to loose 5 stone 9lbs!!:D:o
  • Oh dear! I hope my bad luck isn't rubbing off on you lovely ladies, it's so demoralising when you know you have been 100% on plan.

And then you get the ones that say ........... I have had 3 curries at the weekend followed by fish n chips and popcorn at the cinema ....... and they lost X amount of pounds! Grrrrrrrhh!!

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!
  • Now, cyclingyorkie,
keep your chin up, hang on in there! xx

  • Oh dear so many GRRRRRs! I almost don't want to get anywhere near my target if you have to get all grumpy and stressed out to do it.
Isn't it funny. None of us set out worrying about the numbers on the scales.. but on leaving WI we're all "Humph" when they add up.. rather than down.
Piglet, Cycling, Gettingthere... out with the tape measure. The inches are going if the lbs are not.
BMI charts are there as a guidance - not one of us paid any attention to them when we didn't want to!
It's funny I had a very depressing thought last night. it's taken 8 weeks to loose the 21.5lbs. I feel great but still considered obese, I have sooo much to loose... what a flipping mountain. :(

You can't get all down over a lb or two...when you are in your happy weight range!

Shellieholly, I am with you on this one. I have lost 2 and 1/2 stone but still have probably 4st to go and it seems like such a mountain at times..... BUT, it's less of a mountain than 6 and 1/2 stone was so I'm getting there. I am setting myself mini targets of half a stone at a time and looking at my weight loss certificates I seem to be hitting that every 3 weeks so far - I know it will slow down but if I could get a 1/2 stone certificate a month I would be very happy. Can you tell I am obsessed with certificates?? :rotfl:

I'm sure you must be losing size rather than weight - that must be a reason to :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

Weighing is such a silly way of measuring our success but we all do it. I am trying to ignore the scales more and just be pleased if a pair of jeans feels a touch looser.

I was gutted when the temporary leader running our group handed me a 5 stone sticker ( not shiny!) and said 'I don't do certificates!'

My shape is changing at the moment... I just wish my body would realise that I have nothing left to lose in the hip region and head for my waist!;););)

    Ladies, deep breath, and relax!

Piggie, gettingthere - think how much you've actually lost, your bodies will fluctuate. Like a pilot on a plane it is readjusting its course but the destination is still the same. If you stick to plan the weight will come off, it'll catch up with you eventually.
