So yesterday was my first on the SW plan, had a thumping head at the end of the day, less tea than normal and obviously no biscuits, but went to bed early and feeling fine today.
Yesterday I had:
Porridge HE
Skimmed milk HE (used quarter of a pint had the rest in drinks)
18g syrup (3syns)
Apple
Homemade soup, lentils, carrots etc
Activia 0% fat yoghurt
Satsuma
Salmon
Pasta & passatta
Carrots
Broccoli
Baby corn
Strawberries & activia
Total syns 3
Hope this sounds ok, any tips appreciated.
Just had my porridge today with half the syrup, so 1.5 syns.
Well done to everyone who lost yesterday. Have a great day everyone!16 April 2012 begin SW - Loss to date 22/39

Such a waste but then goes to show that take-aways aren't all they are cracked up to be!
Poor you, it's such a shame when you've looked forward to something. I think all this Healthy Eating spoils your appetite for junk. Shame isn' it!;)cyclingyorkie wrote: »shellieholly - peas ARE free, but they are NOT a superfree!
On EE 1/3rd of yor plate should be superfree - peas don't count - they count as the free stuff eg spuds!
But peas are superspeedy!!:rotfl: It's very complicated isn't it!!
I'm having gammon tonight too but with cauliflower!!
Lamarsi, well done on your 1.5, if you can settle into that as a weekly loss it'll be great. If you go to a group try picking up those 'sandbag' things. The half stone and the pound together are less than you've lost.
I know it's irresistible but although midweek weighing motivates some people it seems to depress more gettingthere. The best thing we ever did was get rid of our scales.
And for the 'baggy' trousers fluff, don't forget to keep them or some 'fat' clothes. I wore a particular pair of black trousers to WI every week until they were literally falling off but it felt really good!:D If I were you I'd buy an absolute minimum for your new job until you get to target. I bought a few bits from charity shops when I started losing, partly not to waste money but also to experiment with colours that I'd always avoided before when I was dressed head to toe in black.0 -

I know you've got plenty of spare syns but banana sliced on porridge is good in place of syrup.
I always save most of my syns for weekends so perhaps you're doing the same? You need to have them.
Your menu looks great. Good luck!0 -

Thanks, I thought I should have had more syns but didn't feel like anything else last night. I've got alot of reading to do still, so one day a time. Is it 70 syns throughout the week if you are going to save for the weekend? TIA16 April 2012 begin SW - Loss to date 22/39

Thank you. I am not overly sure the Antibiotics are working. DD1 had a bad chest infection when she was a similar age, we ended up in A&E overnight. It's made me paranoid about crackly coughscyclingyorkie wrote: »shellieholly - peas ARE free, but they are NOT a superfree!

Eh... see... now, this wasn't remotely mentioned at group.. and heres me filling my plate. Iwouldn't have known if you hadn't mentioned it! How can they by superspeedy but only free. I am really confused now!
ETA: just picked up the ragu jar of white sauce for the lasagne, it states that there is 17.2g (25%) of fat per 1/4 a jar OMG!!!! That means 100% of the RDA in one jar! - Off to find a white sauce mix more sw friendly0 -
Good morning all,
Hope you don't mind me joining you - I've been lurking for a week or so in preparation, and joined a class last night. I'm not completely organised yet as only had a quick flick through the books and didn't get all the shopping I wanted as Asda's shelves were decimated, but will sort that out tonight.
So, today's plan:
B: Bran flakes (HEB), ss milk (HEA), banana
L: Thai Mugshot (0.5), rocket salad, tomatoes, pepper, tuna, cottage cheese.
T: Chicken tikka masala using 1/4 jar Asda GFY sauce (5) (needs using but will be making my own in future), onions, peppers, courgettes, rice.
S: Apple, Asda fat free raspberry yogurt (bought last night then found out they're 2 syns), something sweet to make up syns.
Have a good day everyone!2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

It takes a while to get your head round it Shellieholly but you'll get there. I would put a written note in the front of your book about the various notes that you want to remember otherwise there just becomes too much information and you forget (or at least I do)

its 105 syns for the full week, between 5-15 per day. I use mine per day rather than saving them up (because most of the time it works for me) but i know alot of ladies here save their syns for the weekend, so whatever works best for you.
maman i'm going shopping tomorrow to find a new set of black trousers (i don't think i could ever throw out my fat clothes - reminds me where i was to where i am now)
my only concern with this new job (i trialled it for a few hours yesterday) is that i am literally on my butt from 8am-5pm in a chair, so im thinking im going to have to hit the gym a bit to maintain the exercise my current job gives me?
i know i shouldn't but couldn't resist a mid week sneaky scales look. currently my scales say 12.10now i know its early in the morning and i still have to eat lunch etc, but at least i know its all headed in the right direction.
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know
On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!0 -

i am now back to the SAME weight i was 3 weeks ago :mad:0 -
Hi all
Had a loss of 2lbs last night which was a VERY nice surprise. I was so sure that i would have maintained or gained a bit. I really dont know how that has happened  as i have had a terrible (in my eyes at least) 10 days where i have eaten hot cross buns galore, drank a load of alcohol and had birthday cake :j:j:j
Decided i am not having any toast/bread product at all this week, just to see how i get on.
So menu for today is -
B - 2 field mushrooms, 2 turkey rashers and scrambled egg followed by an apple & some grapes.
L - Turkey salad - Rocket, beetroot, carrot, sweetcorn, celery, mushrooms, red pepper, 45g of reduced fat cheese (HEXA)
D - Sweet potato chips with SW Quiche , using onion, asparagus & broccoli as a filling.
Snacks - blackberries, another apple, satsuma and pineapple, muller light mint yoghurt, ryvita crackers (HexB) with cottage cheese & pineapple on top.
Doesnt feel like i am on a diet at all today as i have a lot on my menu..
ETA .. I would also like to try green/original days (as daft as it sounds) im not sure how to do the transition? Can someone give me an example of a green/original day menu?
