Any word on Joliebox? I'm very excited at the prospect of French goodies!!! :T

Now, this may be just a shot in the dark, but I'm putting money on it including "les faux cils" - and I DON'T mean the YSL mascara :rotfl:

They have become such a beauty box staple I might collapse if they weren't!

According to JolieBox on FB, the "French" box is due to be dispatched at the end of this week HOWEVER there ARE spoilers out in cyberspace as some bloggers have had theirs early (which irritates me but hey ho) so be careful what you read! :rotfl:

PS - I just looked at a spoiler site because I have no willpower :o

So those of you who have read previous posts know that I got the man-box from GB for my brother. I kept the subscription up by accident and thought I'd use the next man-box for my Dad.

The email I got for dispatch was well over a week ago and it arrived today (by my "I'm going to hurl your parcels at your balcony and try to break your french door" Hermes courier) along with my June girl-box.

    SPOILERS IN WHITE ;-)

    Girlbox:
I got the HD Brows tweezers. This is good for me as I inherited fair skin from my Mum and dark hair from my Dad so get the eyebrow thing going on. I needed to buy some new tweezers, was going to go for a new pair of Tweezermans but these aren't bad. Don't feel quite as sturdy so will go back to using my trade discount for Tweezermans I think. These have an RRP of £19!
I got the Caudalie perfume. It smells gorgeous on me. Reminds me of CKOne (which I love) so not bad.
Rest of box disappointing. Brush was carp, bronzer is rubbish - I LIVE IN ESSEX BUT I'M NOT FROM HERE, STOP SENDING ME ORANGE THINGS!!!! Concealer too dark. Oh well!

    Man-box:
REALLY REALLY ANGRY! Cancelling this now.
There was nothing full size in this box. It was not worth the price, which is higher than a girl GB. There was a nice smelling body wash but the rest was all tiny carp. Tiny shave gel. Tiny face scrub. Tiny toothpaste. 2 little sachets. Not value for money and I'd actually feel embarassed giving it to my Dad as a present, which is what I was originally going to do. GRRRRRR!

As for the man-box; what man wouldn't be happy to receive the glorious gift of miniature toothpaste? :rotfl::rotfl:

I love the fact that all the beauty bloggers rave about this crap - too scared to tell the truth in case they stop getting their free goodies or worse - get the shoddy plebian box that everyone else has to put up with

I'd love for just one of them to stand up and say "Come on, this is junk. If I was in Boots with a £10 note, there is NO WAY I would be buying ANY of this stuff"

So, I just went to cancel my Man-box and I found the message that popped up on the screen somewhat irksome...

    "
    Cancellation of your Glossybox subscription

Wait, do you really want to cancel your GLOSSYBOX subscription and not want to have delivered the hottest beauty trends right to your doorstep anymore?
dot-step1.png Are you sure you want to give up your monthly surprise box
full of luxury to indulge yourself
Oh let's see, as it's FOR A MAN AND I AM A WOMAN it's not for my indulgence anyway. Plus it isn't monthly. Plus there was very little luxury. For such a small box it wasn't even full!
dot-step2.png Once again you may find it hard to find the best products to suit you You know what? I'll live. None of the MAN PRODUCTS suit me. I never found it hard before. You know, when I was a man.
dot-step3.png You can't discover the latest trends by yourself. You'll miss exciting luxury brands of the next GlossyBox"Oh, I forgot we're all imbeciles and are unable to find these trends for ourselves. None of us read magazines or forums. I definitely don't go to beauty trade shows. I'm cancelling my man-one but for now I'm keeping up my girl one. If any of you have cancelled and can't discover the latest trends by yourself *ahem* then let me know and I'll tell you after the next beauty show...Sorry folks for the outburst I just found it quite rude! When I think between them they cost me £30 this month THAT MESSAGE was really annoying!

"You can't discover the latest trends by yourself" - watch me head out to Nisa, rip all the little samples out of the glossy mags and recreate a Glossybox in my own home for free.

Of course you cannot source Tiny shave gel. Tiny face scrub. Tiny toothpaste. or 2 little sachets. yourself because nowhere sells tiny things, unless you live in Lilliput.

I cancel my GB every month to take advantage of the latest offer and always get this message and like you, it drives me insane. Just another example of GBs excellent customer service - condescending PR1CKS
