I was just thinking how good the SSB looked. I hated this months joliebox. My full sized item was strawberry scented. Bleurgh!!! I'd have felt better if it was any other flavour except for that or chocolate. That'll probably give some indication of which thing from this months SSB I hope I don't get!xxx0

Trying hard not to peek at SSB spoilers, nearly went for Betrousse but decided was a bit more than I wanted to pay. Very tempting though. Still waiting for LIB Editors book, SSB to come this week and ordered GB for October. Plus should have BB trial stuff soon hopefully, so plenty to keep Granny happy for a while.
Been using Neals Yard Remedy sleep therapy this weekend, its amazing, I'm hooked.Targets

Well this morning both my SSB and LIB boxes arrived.
Firstly LIB
The tweezers alone are worth £8 and so pretty, I may just have to give them to my DD for the dreaded C word.
The box is jam packed with samples and a full sized 125ml of nelson's facial wash priced at £7.85 in B00ts so is definitely a bargain at the price I paid.
SSB on the other hand:All in all not the best value box at about £8.89 but worth more than I paid with Jubilee offer. Would have been disappointed with this box if I'd paid full price. However the whole point of these boxes is to try something new and with 3 of the 6 items coming from the States and not being brands I've used before, it has met with my idea of boxes. Will give all of the items a go.
I got:
a 1g pot of Cellnique Advanced Bio renewal masque, rrp $51 per 50g, so value $1.10 or 68p. However you get free p&p plus a free sample with every purchase from supplier and 20% using SSB code.
This is a product brand I have never heard of before so happy to try.
B.liv off with those heads gel - 3ml - rrp $49 for 30ml so value $4.90 or £3.03. Again free P&P if ordered from supplier and 20% discount with SSB codes.
Biao Beauty rejuvenating night creme - rrp $24.50 for 118ml, sample size 2 x 2ml sachets, so approx value $0.83 or 50p. Once again 20% off via SSB code and free p&p
50ml bottle of ponds cocoa butter - rrp £1.19
spray vial of Amy Childs fragrance - rrp £14.99 for 30ml, no size on vial but approx 2ml so value approx £1.
plus bonus Green Tea extract myvitamins, rrp £2.49, free p&p from supplier.

I thought my SSB box was awful
Especially the myvitamins of which mine are not only not suitable for vegetarians which I am but also the primary ingredient is olive oil and I have a medical condition which means I need to avoid fats
I won't be re-subscribing once my jubilee subscription comes to an end.

my myvitamins were green tea extract, suitable for vegetarians but don't sound very healthy tbh so I'll be avoiding them
I still have 2 SSB boxes to come from Jubilee offer/free from points. and I think other than the odd LIB box, (who are annoying me with their constant stream now instead of one a month) I will be avoiding boxes for a while as they just aren't floating my boat as much as they have in the past. Possibly too many on the market, with another one just launched (I googled the allaboutbeauty box and found it).
As I've said lately, more than once, I have a stock of skincare to trial and don't really appreciate makeup or perfume in these boxes. Let's see if I can stick to my plan for 2013.Targets

I got the same box as grannyx2 in the SSB. It's shocking!!! I have one month left. Don't think I'll be re subbing at this rate. Just desprate for my beauty bible products to arrive!!0

I won't be re-subbing to SSB when my sub has ended. Think next months will be my last, unless I catch up with reviews for a free box.
They've been ok, but no match for Amarya for me. So will stick with them, plus BB, and my current product trials.
The only things that I will get use of are the Cocoa butter (although have loads of), and the spot cream. I received vitamin D3, of negligible benefit I think.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0 -
well SSB arrived and as expected am completely underwhelmed by it:(:(:(:(:(tiny samples no use as trying new items and do I(a 57 year old) need off with those heads blackhead remover?
unless my next two boxes are better I will not be buying in the new year(probably just as well:rotfl:)0 -
Hi everyone - I'm back! Been horrribly ill with a Lupus flare but I'm starting to come out of the other side now.
I'll give you my take on the recent SSB box later (rushing this post as I'm wating for the doctor who is doing a home visit) but I just wanted to flag a fantastic offer on the Living Social deals site.
For £13 you get £30 to spend on Green People products. This is a really good deal - they ddi it once before when there were loads of offers on the site and I got about £60 worth of stuff for £13!
I can highly recommend the Vita Min Fix moisturiser and the minty aftersun. I use the aftersun when my skin gets sore and itchy and it really soothes it. The kids range is also fab - I love the childrens shower gel because it is so gentle.
Anyway, if you want to buy you can either use my referral link (would be very grateful) https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/56274655#Comment_56274655
Or use this clean link here http://www.livingsocial.com/united_kingdom/cities/1569-national-uk/deals/474770-30-to-spend-on-organic-skin-care-products
Back later to chat and catch upLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0
