Opinion on the Glossybox Sept issue: Instead of getting the Mythic Oil, my substitute was a 10ml hair oil, for which the full size 100ml is £24, so my 10ml is worth £2.40: I just think that's so crazy. The eye cream has been given free with Glamour so rather unfairly I only value this at £2. And the rest of it is just sample size stuff they give out free. Maybe the Rodial face masks will be good, but that's about all. I just think it's really unfair that some get the full size Mythic Oil which is meant to be fab, and some get that tiny 10ml sample size hair oil which is less popular. If they're going to substitute items, they should give items of a similar value.

Yes, this is one of the reasons I won't be renewing my subscription. I'm still miffed that I didn't get the £20 Becca Watermelon Beach tint from a previous box - I got a £1.99 bottle of soap instead:D

It's just a hassle I don't need, so although I was one of the lucky ones this month I'll be happy when my sub is finished.

Hi - that's the thing, I love the boxes and the surprise element but don't like the disparity between the boxes, but feel a bit petty saying that! At least I got a pretty box to use : ). I think I'll cancel Glossybox and maybe switch to LuxBox or Joliebox now they've been taken over by Birchbox from the US.

I haven't had my limited edition Lux Box either.

I've just been swapped to the anti-ageing/green beauty bible testing, so am chuffed, as had been dithering as to which was best for me.

I had my GB today and was so pleased with it. I only subscribed to it because I have enough points for a free box and could only get that if I had a valid subscription.

    I got:
    Rodail snake serum - 2 x 1ml sachets - value £5.80
    Rodail 5 minute facial - 2 x 1ml sachets - value £2.19

Looking forward to trying these out, I love skin care.

Balance Me wonder eye cream - 7ml - value £10

This to me is one of the best eye creams around and although I currently have a supply, it won't go off, if not opened.

Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing complex - 7ml - value £4.20

Fancied trying this but wasn't prepared to pay £30 for a tub, so pleased to have it.

    L'Oreal Mythic Oil - 125ml - £15.95

I'm colouring my hair later today so it'll be interesting to see what this is like. Quite happy to have complimentary sachets, (see below), to use with it too.

plus 2 L'Oreal Mythic Oil sachets - shampoo and conditioner and a small vial of Lady Gaga Perfume.

Nice smelling perfume, not much else to say really, its a small tube, means I can try it out and see if I like it before committing to buy. Retails at £25 for 30ml, so vial is worth about 60p.

Total box value approx £40, so definitely the type of box I initially expected from beauty boxes and more than worth the £10 I paid, plus I had cashback of about £3, which covers the p&p costs. Very pretty box too.

Not sure what the other box variants are around and not sure if I want to know if there are better ones, as I'm more than happy with mine.

I got the same as grannyx2.
They seem to have at least given a cursory glance at my profile as I got the orgininal Mythic Oil - I know some got the colour version.

Bit disappointed with the Lady Gaga fragrance - I expected something other than a generic celebrity fragrance. It's pleasant enough, but I did think it might have been a little bit more edgy.
Doesn't last long either - perhaps it should have been called 15 Minutes of Fame.
I don't actually mind getting perfume samples, although I'd prefer the luxury 5ml sizes.

Looking forward to trying the Rodial, and I'm nearly out of eye cream so the Balance Me will be good to try. Olay is Olay, but it won't go to waste.

I received my Lux limited edition box today, and its ok, as am happy at approx 4 of the items. I would probably not have ordered if I had known previously that all the items had been featured in previous boxes.
I got a full sized all-purpose steam cream which is something I've wanted to try (although doubt it can compare with Lavera cream), plus another Dawood & tanner tooth cleanser in garden mint variety. I'm still using my sicilian lemon varient, plus have another in brazilian lime from a swap. I really do like using these. Those two cover the cost of the box.

I was pleased to get a balance me eye cream, as only managed to get one through the Glamour mag promo, and it really is good. I also got some Eldora fake lashes with diamante, these are much nicer than the 'pantomime cow' ones I gave away from an Amitee box. These 4 items I am pleased with.

I had another eco eye trio, which I do like, but have hardly made a dent in the one I use occasionally now. I have too many neutral, bronzey shadows. It will go in my stash.

Flicktips; I've just given the classic set away, and now have got the party set in all manner of crazy shapes. I might use them (one day if I'm brave!). :D

Mocha Rose lip balm; since getting the lovely Herbfamacy one in my Amarya box, every other balm feels gloopy on my lips. This one has essential oils in petroleum jelly (why?). I will use the one I've got open as a gloss rather than a balm, but will perhaps give this to my daughter as she likes the vanilla scent.

So worth it for what I paid, but I doubt I would have ordered if I'd have known what was going in the box.

Not bad box but glad I didn't cave as none of the contents excite me.

I *did* order the box (its probably waiting for me at work) and after looking at the spoiler I'm disappointed, Ive had every luxbox so far so have had every item before but only one of them is an item I regularly use and I definitely wouldn't class at least 2 of those items as 'luxury'.

Can these boxes be returned I wonder?

I think my love affair with boxes has finally subsided (my bank account will be pleased!) so I'll wait for my SSB subs to run out then take 6 months off - get 3 months of each box then opt out again. I think this way you might not keep getting dupes all the time

Lux were very misleading with this 'Luxury Box'. I thought these would be 7 new products. They only recently mentioned on FB that some of the items had been featured in previous boxes, but not all. Very poor on their part.
