  • My favourite boxes are by far Latest in Beauty, although not a box you pay for in advance, just as and when you want one, they are excellent value and loads of stuff in them! I get nearly all of the boxes they bring out - they're fab :)

I took out a 6 month subscription on SheSaid boxes and am I glad that I got a discount on it - not worth the money at all, and this month they mixed the names/addresses on the boxes up (I got mine ok though) and 3 items that were listed as being in there were missing - I'll give them their credit - today I received replacements, but not good, and I won't be taking out another subscription with them!
  • Hey ladies do Jolie box ever do any discounts???
  • Joliebox have done discounts, I think they did a jubilee offer and also some introduce a friend codes a while ago. Haven't seen anything recent.

I've just had an email from Betrousse saying I have been selected to receive a Sentara make-up remover for trial at home. Chuffed as its really expensive to buy normally. :j

    Think thats the one.
New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!
  • Interesting news on the beauty box front - Joliebox have been acquired by Birchbox. That should give Glossybox some serious competition!

That's interesting to hear judy. I've just googled birchbox, and they do look good. Unless there was an introductory offer though, I daren't take on another one again at the moment.

Lux haven't sent a box, which is fine, as means I can square them up for the 2 boxes I received that they still haven't taken payment for. I hope I get my luxury box is all. I think I will cancel once sorted, as dislike the uncertainty regarding them (even though the products have all been good).

Amarya, the Beauty Bible, plus my Betrousse product test will keep me stocked up, plus I still have a couple more SSB boxes to come from my 6-month subscription. If there are any more spectacular deals on 6-month subs I will take advantage, as was worth it for the money.

It's a group of us that are trying to use up our toiletry stash. It's a really lovely group :)

I was pretty disappointed by Lux Box as well. I've really enjoyed every other box though, so I shall stick with them for at least one more.

I think that they forgot to put the info cards in but here is a link to all the info/prices. It made it seem better value at least :rotfl::

Hopefully they'll be better/more organised next month.

I think I will definitely join up within the next week:)

I've moved on to being horrified by my wardrobe now, which was also scattered everywhere. Two bags of clothes for charity so far:o
  • Has anyone recieved there Lux limited edition box yet?
  • I got my Glossybox, spoilers in white

I got a balance me eyecream. I don't usually use them because they give me puffy eyes but I will give it a go.
Olay Wrinkle Relaxing Complex. It's a small tube sample, the kind they send out as freebies often, but I haven't tried this one.
A sample of the new Lady Gaga perfume which was interesting. It smelt like blackberries and musk on me at first but now after an hour it's more of a creamy vanilla scent.
A full size bottle of Mythic Oil for colour treated hair. I'm dying my hair later so this is timely.
Sample sachets of Mythic Oil shampoo and conditioner.
Four Rodial sample sachets - two of Five Minute Facial and two of Glamoxy Snake Serum.

I'm happy with this months, I'm sure some people won't like that there's no make-up product (though I don't know what the other boxes have) but to me, this is the kind of box I signed up for! Plus the box is pretty this month.

Opinion on the Glossybox Sept issue: Instead of getting the Mythic Oil, my substitute was a 10ml hair oil, for which the full size 100ml is £24, so my 10ml is worth £2.40: I just think that's so crazy. The eye cream has been given free with Glamour so rather unfairly I only value this at £2. And the rest of it is just sample size stuff they give out free. Maybe the Rodial face masks will be good, but that's about all. I just think it's really unfair that some get the full size Mythic Oil which is meant to be fab, and some get that tiny 10ml sample size hair oil which is less popular. If they're going to substitute items, they should give items of a similar value.
