    Thanks jj! :T

I'd love to receive the 2nd item, so perhaps might be worth temporarily re-subbing? Is it either, or both of the products from the Joliebox spoiler that should be received?

I'm not sure, Missli. On their facebook page they just say" X & Y in this month's Joliebox". I'm so hoping it's both - there's quite a discrepancy between the two price-wise, and JB doesn't normally do a Glossybox when they give a variation in a product!

Having said that, I'd be happy with either, and wouldn't mind if I got the cheaper one. I've actually had that from the Beauty Bible, funnily enough, and I really liked it.

Finally got my Glossybox today. It was OK, I suppose.
Fortunately I didn't get the atrocious stick on nails, and got the All for Eve balm instead. You can never go wrong with a balm, as far as I'm concerned.

Lipcote and the nail product are fine. Lipcote does tend to sting like hell when you put it on, but that wears off fairly quickly. I tend to wear glosses more, but I do use this if I'm wearing a lipstick. I find it's less drying than a long-last formula lipstick.
Definitely does what it says though.

I'm interested to try the DHC, as I've only had sample sachets before.

The lipstick I don't really think is my shade, but the eyeshadow palette - what can I say? There's no pigmentation and it wears off after 10 mins at the most. I'll just add here, that I swatched it on my hand - there's no way that was going near my eyes!

If any of the GB staff actually use this and think it's a high-end product, I'll frankly eat the horrible thing!

Both Mua and e.l.f. have shown that you can have decent quality products that are cheap. Cheap does not have to equal nasty!

Just to add, I've picked the eyeshadow up, put it down and one of the shadows has broken! Wasn't like I slammed it down or anything.

Just to let you all know if you get damaged items in your GB, or any other for that matter, you are entitled to a full refund of your box and any associated costs under the sale of goods act. Despite them trying to tell you that they will not refund the postage, they have to by law. When my friend had her recent issue with them, they asked her to send evidence of her proof of purchase to them with the returned box, (bit difficult as you don't get proof of purchase until after its posted) and they would refund in full. She got it all back but was pretty miffed as all she really wanted was a replacement HD brows kit and quite liked the other products. She considered rebuying a box but thought the chances were that she wouldn't even get the right box so didn't bother in the end.

Oh dear Glossybox customer service strikes again!!

I'm liking the Joliebox spoilers ladies and might resubscribe for the August box. I've been reasonably happy with the last two boxes and their customer service has impressed me.

Very tempted to order the Limited Edition Luxbox but it is expensive for what essentially is a lucky bag type purchase! I received the last Luxbox which was strange as my subscription and payments stopped a few months ago. Not an altogether bad box but it didn't excite me.

I suspect I'm now over the initial buzz of the beauty box experience and having just moved house I am more aware than ever my stash is ridiculous :rotfl:
  • So I tried an SMT (the deep conditioning treatment from the LHC forum) and I have to say it's not done anything really for me :o but oh well, definitely worth a try and at the very least it's not made my hair any worse. I was slightly worried about the honey lightening my hair and waking up blonde! But I haven't :D

I'm loving aloe vera gel for my skin, anyway. Wish I'd tried this when I started getting stretch marks instead of Bio Oil, I hate oiling my skin so I never got anywhere with it.

I'm hoping thats the case as didn't get a HD brows kit in either of my Glossyboxes. The 2nd item sounds better for me than that, so would be excited to received (if I re-subbed temporarily),as have plenty of the 1st.

This is the temptation with beauty boxes for me. There is a type of item I want to purchase, so would work out cheaper to buy the box if it was included.

I got the same GB as you, which was why I liked it. I would have been disappointed if I'd got either the press-on nails, or a perfume sample. I ended giving the lipstick to my 8 year old, as I may do with the eyeshadows, although would use. The other products especially the Eve's balm, make it worth the money paid this month.
New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!

Oh dear!! I just received an email from Feelunique about a sale they are having and I went a bit wild....!!

    I treated myself to:

Burts Bees Coconut Foot Cream - miracle worker on my somewhat neglected feet. Leaves them soft and smooth.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir - mini one for my handbag - nice little refresh in the hot weather. Also free sample of Vinoperfect day fluid with this which I look forward to trying.

I really took to the Osmo Berber Oil in an earlier Glossybox so I also added a shampoo and conditioner from this range. I hope it works a similar magic as my hair is struggling at the moment.

Finally I snapped up a Green People Natural Aloe Vera Deodorant. This is the item I am most curious about! My current antiperspirant I feel is no longer effective as I've been using it so long. I also am becoming increasingly wary of all the chemicals in beauty and skin care products. I'm keen to use up my current stash of products however with new buys I'm a lot more conscious of ingredients.

I'm off work ill this week which is proving expensive!!! :rotfl:

I did go through Top CashBack so all being well should get a few quid back - that makes it ok right?! :D

I'm going to have to sit on my hands now to avoid any more unnecessary purchases!!

kbells A sale *scamps off to take a peep* - not that I need anything but you never know!!

I am unsure about the Luxbox ltd ed, I want it but at the same time am sure if there's anything I really really wanted from it I could ask around on the swaps fb page. I really have too much stuff hoarded in the wardrobe atm!
