The old-fashioned way of renewing your polish is to add a bit of nail polish remover ot it BUT I have no idea how that works these days with acetone-free removers and ones with extra oils or panthenol in. If you Google "Nail polish reviver" there are loads of brands selling them - I assume they are basically jsut little bottles of ethanol? I nearly bought the Kiko one when I made my order but decided I was spending enough already.

Following an incident with acetone free nail varnish remover pad and a Swiss army knife, I imagine it'll just work fine! I still had remover on my hands, picked up my little red knife, then discovered my hands were bright crimson - it was actually dissolving the surface of the knife.

My Glossybox came today, typically when I was in the shower. I was barely in five minutes as well! It's allegedly coming tomorrow between 11-2, so we'll see. I just have to stay away from the spoilers a little longer... :rotfl:

If a polish does get clogged up a few drops or any restorer should work. I use an Orly one but any will do. As you use so little it will last for ever.
Nail polish remover will thin the polish out but it is likely to slightly effect the finish and go all streaky. Also being alocohol it will more than likely evaporate to quickly again.

I've been trying to find out exactly what is in these nail polish revivers and it is flippin' impossible to get an ingredients list! Is looks as if they may be pure acetone - do you know amyb?

It is now driving me mad and I now need to know out of irritation :rotfl: The best I can find is this:

The ingredients found in traditional nail polish thinner often include any of the following: acetone, butyl acetate, toulene, methyl ethyl ketone, hexane, isopropyl alcohol or heptane. These ingredients added to the original nail polish act as solvents in addition to replacing some ingredients that may have evaporated over time.

Since some consider certain ingredients in nail polish thinner to be toxic, nontoxic alternatives exist. The ingredients may consist of ethanol and orange oil, a natural solvent

So if you've specifically bought a toulene-free polish, you probably want to check what's in a thinner before adding it!

judyjetson - I have a distinct memory of being a little girl and sneaking a bottle of bright blue nail polish remover out of my mum's room. I then proceeded to remove all the ink from the outside of a tub of Flora and was about to continue my experiments when I was caught!

Terrified to ever put anything spoiler related as I'd probably mess it up

If anyone has been considering buying a Clarisonic, Buyapowa have a live buy now of a Clarisonic Mia (RRP £120), £90 best price. It will probably reach best price as you don't catch them at a discount often.

Try these two - one is a closed group and the other is the same people but an open group, however I can't remember which is which! :rotfl: I'll change the link on the OP too

Am back from being away visiting my mum - who seems to be recovering fine after having her gall bladder removed last week! I took her a box full of stuff from beauty boxes to cheer her up and some of the REN bits I got (so ofc I had to go and order some more whilst the code was still active! Chloe may not be 3 yet but I'm sure she really wanted a REN account in her name for the future!).

Oh a REN note, loved the orange/jam face peel thingy, skin felt amazing the next day but couldnt convince myself to order the full size one for £30 so ordered another tester/travel kit with a 15ml size in it I think. Either the travel kits are way underpriced or the full sized is way overpriced!

Dont have anymore boxes due till next month which thinking about it isnt that far away but am getting shopping withdrawal!!

I did nearly buy some Liz Earle Make up off QVC (watched a bit of it with mum) but was restrained but I do need some nail/cuticle stuff and was looking for recommendations. The OPI Nail Envy and oil thingy seems to be highly rated, but wondered if there was any more natural ones that were just as good?

    xx

Assuming you mean the Glycolactic Skin Renewal Mask, Amarya sells it for £28, and their July beauty box contained a 20% discount code for all brands in the box (Ren, Antipodes, Inika) - BBJY8A - so the full size works out to be £22.40 ;)
