Woop, woop, finally the cashback from one of my merchants came through, so £12.12 is winging it's way to my mortgage free pot, not arrived yet, but should do so in the next couple of days, so am going to do another OP just before the end of the month. We had a total of £5.83 left in the current accounts today, so i'm adding that to the OP pot ahead of my pay day tomorrow. So that plus the cashback is almost another £20:) once you get focused it really comes together well, i know i've got a really long way to go but hoping that i can make it a total OP for April of £300 when all is done:)

I recently went through mine and I have found nearly £100:j in emergency £20 notes for taxis - they were there for a good 2 years or so!!!

No such luck i'm afraid, i'm always nominated driver, so no taxi's and i'll be honest we really don't go out that much:)

I'll do it. I'll find it. I will!

£4.96 added to the pot, this is the 'odd' money from my wages, so i figured i'd move it into the OP pot. Making a total now of £10.79 so far, still waiting for the £12.12 from topcashback to hit the current account but when it does that will be moved into the OP pot too.

:( ok looks like i've made a boo boo:( think the OP for this month will not be getting any bigger, not sure how but seem to have overspent on the CC last month and so have a larger bill than i was expecting. So the money which was to go into the OP pot may have to be used for bills. I'm going to keep a close eye on it and hope to be able to squeeze a bit more before the end of the month, but not going to make it to £329:( oh well. I think i might try to do 2 next month instead.

The issue is my hubby gets a basic wage and then commision, and then if his shop hits sales he gets another bonus and if they sell x number of y then he gets another top up, so i never know for sure how much we're getting and now with me ony getting £500 a month it makes it hard to budget effectively. Oh well, this is the first time in the last year that i've got it wrong.

    Hey ho, on we go:)

I understand you completely - I didn't work for last 3 months of pregnancy (only couple of assignments) so no wage, and now I'm on Maternity allowance only - it makes a big difference in budget. It seems like all luxuries has to be cut off:(

Hang on there, it will get better - at least you are making some OPs!

The £12.12 finally arrived in my account so i've moved it into the OP pot, which is still connected to the bank so i can easily move it back if needed. I figure this way it might earn a tiny bit of interest while i check whether or not we need it this month for bills, if we do i can move it back, if not, i can pay it off in May:)

Still awaiting my letter back from HMRC, re uniform, for me and hubby, so if that happens to come through any time soon i'm hoping there's a cheque attached:)

Well an OP of £100 has gone today and i rang the bank to check what the outstanding balance is and its £103,940 so i've updated the spreadsheet:)

Hoping to do another £100 before the end of the month. I have £22.91 in the OP pot at the mo, left over from last month but wasn't sure if we had enough money to pay it, have another £58.40 on it's way from Topcashback, so once it arrives in the ac i'll move it to the OP pot and then await pay day to check we are ok for the bill and if we are i'll OP then. Seems to have slowed down abit, but my hubby earns commision and his company messed it up this month and he was underpayed by about £150 so that hopefully will be in the May pay check. Also rang HMRC this mornig to try and get them to change my tax code from including the money i was owed as extra allowance and get it as a check insterad. Reason being the extra allowance won't help me this year as i'm only going to ear about 7000 so won't go above the allowance anyway. Then hoping to put the cheque towards the OP'ing. Also got some bits listed on Ebay at the weekend and hoping to make some money from the nearly new sale, and might have found someone who wants to buy my breast pump so all is looking good.

Just seems to be getting harder to find lump sums, all seems to be in bits and bobs now. Oh well, every little helps!

The £50.50 has finally arrived in my account from Top cashback so i've moved it into the OP pot. Not entirely sure whether we might need to use this OP pot for bills this month though as had to borrow from Peter to pay paul earlier in the week:( Oh well, even if i make no OP this month other than the £100 already done we're still ahead of schedule:)
