Is there a limit on how many bank accounts any one person can have?
As abouttimetoo has mentioned there are no limits.
You can have as many as you like and ping money between them to pick up bonuses etc.
When Lloyds gave 4% on Vantage accounts there were some on here with 7 (now only allowed 3) in their own name. Likewise you used to be able to have 3 reward accounts in your own name before they changed the terms to 1 and 1 joint.5/10/12 : Mortgage Free0 -

Those were the days Jock, my mother still has 6 or 7 Vantage accounts and another two in my name!

Just looked at the Halifax account and they seem to want an awful lot of information, like what i'll use the account for and what my salary is and the like. What do other people put in answer to these questions, eg, if i put that i'm going to use it for paying bills, then surely they'll expect to see some DD set up, or if i say savings, they'll expect to see money in there for more than a few minutes a month?0

Morning all. Pay day today:) hoping my new card arrives in the post today because i want to transfer my money to the new 123 account but don't want to do it until i have the cash card in my hand:)
It's a beautiful day here, i'm waiting for the little one to wake up from her nap (there's no rush) then we're off to mammas to do some sorting for the next car boot. Nothing as yet to add to the MF Fund but we'll get there. I think i might update my sig maybe once a week/month or maybe each payday would be a good day? At least that way i will remember to do it.0 -

A colleague at work did the same and said "for the free fiver's"
When I opened an ISA with them in branch the assistant pulled up my accounts on their system and smiled when they seen the current accounts, they are well aware this goes on however as you are within their t&c's there is little they can do.5/10/12 : Mortgage Free0 -
Morning guys, well little one is having a nap so i thought i'd check out the gossip on here. I have to say the site seems quieter recently, maybe it's all the MF people disappearing on cruises with their money they've saved by not having to pay the mortgage:) Well, i'm off to see my friend this afternoon to get an ebay lesson, and also have a girly gossip, she sold me one top on ebay so i've got to pick up the money for it, also want to learn how to do it myself so that i can hopefully sell a few bits and bobs for more than i would get at the car boot. Any money we make is going on the mortgage free fund:)0

Good luck with ebay. I use it to sell anything that is worth the postage/collection. Anything really cheap or so heavy the postage will be more than it's worth I take to a car boot. I definitely get more on ebay than at a car boot for larger items. We sold our nursery furniture, 2 pushchairs and a trike recently. Still got a coffee machine to put on and 3 boxes of baby toys in the loft to decide about ebay/car boot.0

Well, i've got two people watching a couple of my items so fingers crossed by this time next week i could have some cash. If we got one bid on everything then we would get about £80 so that would be brill:)
Had a lovely day today walking with my baby and my friend, managed a NSD so that was good. Think i might have to go food shopping tomorrow though as we presently have no milk, fruit or bread. Although did find a lonely bagel in the cupboard earlier, and i'm sure there's a tin of pineapple in there too so might be able to put it off til later in the week.0 -
Evening all, well i popped into the building society yesterday and paid off £41.56 off the mortgage. The womans face was a picture when i put the change onto the counter. Anyone would think i was trying to pay in buttons. She asked if i wanted to take the change of as well, i said yes and she sort of sighed and then started counting the 2p pieces:) Well, better off my mortgage than sitting in a pot in the lounge:)
Made enough on one of my survey sites to send off for a £10 voucher so that's the next tub of formula paid for, and i'm only 35 points away on my next voucher. Getting fed up of waiting for TCB though, payout of £50 still pending even though it's tracked, why is it always the big ones which take forver to become payable:(0 -
Evening all, nothing to report really on the MF front, but i have had a lovely day in the park with my little girl:)
I don't know, i took a walk around some of our neighbouring streets, and you know what, the houses were really awesome, so gorgeous, not like my little terrace, but there were no children playing, no-one enjoying their gardens, it was all a bit quiet'. I guess maybe they were all at the office making money to pay their massive mortgages. Can't wait til we don't have one to pay. I'm aiming for 10 years to be mortgage free, but don't know if that's totally unrealistic. At the moment we're managing a regular OP of £100 per month, but that's with me on SMP, so hoping that when i get back to working then we should be able to afford to pay off more each month. When i first go back i won't be on much more than SMP, but then once baby is a bit older i should be able to work a few more hours, so that will be good.
Does it ever just feel like a long way off to anyone else?0
