HI Beth :) so lovely to have you join us!! Isn't it great how you can just pick up the old craft books and get excited all over again :D I haven't been back at it that long myself after a long illness and its great just to be making things again!!

I am a bit of a mixed crafter - anything goes with me really :D but been doing some knitting and sewing just recently.

What sort of things do you like to do yourself?

Hi Beth and welcome. This thread seems to have become one of my favourite venues!

Today I have finished a glass dish with a Cath Kidston design and also a waste paper bin in the same fabric I used for the frame but in a different colourway. Still can't post pictures for some reason so here are the links. Will be doing a how to guide for the bin on my blog this week.

Hope everyone had a great Easter.

Thanks fairy and divine for the welcome.

I mostly enjoy paper craft and jewellery making. Hoping to do a few adult learning courses to get be back in the swing.

I did an advanced gnvq in a&d many moons ago then let all my enjoyment slip by as time went on but I'm back and determined to keep it up.

These are gorgeous SD :) i love the way you have designed the glass dish - is this one done with paper or fabric??

I am sure the waste bin will be really popular too - would look great in any room!! Well done for getting them done today!! :T:T

I have had a bit of a busy day myself today - i finished the patchwork bag! I also took a strange notion to make a jubilee cushion cover - must be contagious :rotfl::rotfl: and also because i got a tablet the other day i decided to make myself a tablet case - pics all shown below!

  • I've never really done anything to do with paper either, although I have been tempted by decopage so may try that at some point. I've heard it's relaxing.

The dish is fabric, but it's hardened to protect it from rips/stains.

The bin was so easy and cheap to make. Will be doing a side table to match it at some point.

Fairy - I love love love that bag! It must have taken you ages! And the Union Jack cushion is fab too :T

Not done much today. Not really felt up to it. Hopefully my visit from a Clarke and Clarke rep tomorrow should motivate me. I did, however, send an email to Craftseller magazine. If anyone is thinking of subscribing to this I highly recommend it. Plus, the freebies are fab!

I'm expecting a button delivery tomorrow. 600g of them! I'm a bit button crazy, so I thought I would share a button tile pic with you.
