  • I had a completely craft free day yesterday  its not often that happens!! lol

Mind you i did need to do some sorting out in the spare room which i want to make into my crafting room - that doesn't really count though does it? :rotfl:

I would say it does. You need space for you to be creative in! I've got right back into crafting. I think this thread gave me the kick I needed! Although I probably won't do much today, just have some tiles to finish. Got to do my Lionbridge exams too (eek!). I so need that job while I'm on sick leave from the other day job!

Morning to everyone at the crafty cafe

Today I need to make 5 pics for craft fayre on 18th and also finish a dolls face and another complete doll for the same fayre, I had no luck at all selling the dolls on ebay, so think I will stick to craft fayres.
Fairy, thanks to the links to Etsy and Folksy, I'll have a trawl through them later today. I did manage to sell 5 things which were hand crafted on ebay over the weekend:j:j:j

Have a wonderful day all x

Well done for the sales on Ebay. It isn't really the best place to sell handmade items though as generally they're not "bargain" products. I have a shop on there but am slowly coming away from it and just leaving the products that I know sell well.
I tried Etsy and Folksy but only briefly. Perhaps I ought to more time into them as they're growing in popularity. Do let us know how you get on.
Good luck with the fayre. I can't do anything like that yet as I can't walk (temporarily, or so I've been told).
Have a great day too. I only popped on to break off from studying for 5! x

Great news on the sales vintage :) and good luck with all your crafting targets - you are going to be busy!!

I am working on putting a theme together for some of my crafting at the minute - i have been thinking about branding quite a lot and have decided to try and put some direction into my work - its interesting thinking about all that stuff and working on a business idea to influence the crafts i do as i have never really done that before!

Am not sure if i will get to do any actual crafting today again :( but might get a chance to get some elastic for finishing off the doggy coats at least :D

Its great that this thread has got you right back into crafting :D it does help being able to share and chat about these things i think :)

I have just managed to view your sunglasses case and your website - it all looks really fab - Your website is certainly professional and very easy to navigate :) I wasn't able to see it before because my puter was playing up as per usual - i just abuse the poor thing far too much then expect it to play ball :o

Well i have finally finished the teddy bear i started making months ago now. He is my first attempt at actually sewing something from scratch rather than just altering so i am quite pleased with how he turned out :) I am calling him Trew the pudding loving bear :)

Thanks Fairy. It won't have been your computer, 123-reg who owned my domain name sent it off into internet oblivion and it's been done for five days and when I rang them yesterday I was told I hadn't tried to transfer it to ekmpowershop properly. They said it would be sorted overnight and it still wasn't. I called ekm and they sorted it out very quickly. They are so worth every penny I pay them and when it comes to web building you need a good support team available who are based in the UK and know what they are doing!
I understand what you mean about computers not keeping up. Mines the same!
That bear you have made is soooo cute and I agree about sharing kicking you into gear!

Does anyone have a Facebook page? I'm nosy :-)

I started on the photo collage this evening. Tomorrow I will split my day between website, a new blog post and crafting. Got a deadline for the collage so need it finished on Saturday to take to my sister's on Sunday. No rest for the wicked!

    Good frosty morning everyone
Today i am planning on staying holed up in the warm stuffing dolls bodies. first I do need to venture outside to walk dog then its crafting all the way today, going to lie in bed all toastie and sort through all the fabrics etc I have here.
I do have a face book page but only a personal one not a crafty one, perhaps I should set up a crafty one - i did have a squizz at fairys blog and facebook page last night, i honestly don't know where you find the time Fairy:A

Hi Fairy, just found your challenge, you are the challenge queen! :rotfl: Hi all other crafters too :hello:

I'd love to join if you'll have me :)

I am trying to get things together for a craft fair on 12th May, I'm also in the process of setting up an Etsy shop and trying to teach myself to crochet at the same time

After a lot of not-so-gentle persuasion I managed to convince OH to give up the spare room which was housing his computer and a lot of junk and so I now have my own craft room :) I began sorting things on Sunday but was working in the evening Monday and Tuesday (as well as normal day job) so no more done yet.

I will promise to finish it tonight so that way I'm accountable :D

You should definitely get a crafty Facebook page vintage. There's a whole host of places to socialise with other crafters and you get to find all the niche products you can't buy elsewhere, like handmade fudge (mmmmm fudge!).

Welcome beccie :-) I can't wait to move house so I can have a craft room, but still waiting for another house to sell first. Glad you were able to...ahem...make your other half vacate that area lol x

Blog updated. Only took me 3 hours to write it! Time to try and get some stuff done with this collage now and turn this laptop off. I keep getting side tracked with things like MSE!
