I would love to join your challange, but my problem is a simple one, Im lazy :o

I have a sewing machine, have made three cushion covers with it. And that's it. I have numerous sewing books, lots of threads, fabrics, lots of buttons, cross stitching stuff, patterns, aida, evenweave, threads, I bought pinking shears last week that I 'needed' even though I have still never used them. I'm just lazy!

I did start a patchwork quilt..... Have lots of squares cut out, about 1/4 sewn together.....

Oh don't make me join in!! :rotfl:

Ohhhhhhh just finished knitting the doggy coat :D Tails to sew in now and well am contemplating what way would be best to fasten the neck - I sewed the last one up but i think it would be quite hard to get a dog to sit still long enough to get a jumper pulled over its head!! So i have just unpicked that and now sitting with the 2 of them wondering about fastenings........i'm thinking velcro for ease of use maybe :D ohhhh or press stud thingymaduffers :p

    Well I've subscribed, that's a start :rotfl:

I think I'm just not very creative. I done fashion and textiles at school, and art, plus a higher in craft and design, but I've always struggled. I want to be good at it, Im just not lol! I would love to have someone that could sit with me, guide me through things, so I can ask daft question and they can correct my mistakes.

Mind you, I've contacted a woman on fb that isn't far from me, she runs classes in cushion making, and another in children's clothing. My dh says that I will be going on her next available one day course, I will!!!!

Well there you go, first steps are well underway :D - its really hard to just be creative i think - I was lucky enough to have a gran and a mum who both knit and sew so i have the option of going to mum's now and saying what will i do with this???? lol! I also recently joined a sewing class as i wouldn't consider myself to be very good in the 'how' to actually do a lot of things properly - i can have ideas but have trouble with the doing bit quite often!

Hopefully this challenge will be fully of 'silly' questions - i know i will probably be asking how quite a lot :D - its the only way to learn!

Well i have been getting on ok with my unfinished projects the last few days - the doggy coat knitting bit is finished and i think i am going to sew in some elastic round the neck bit to make it easier to put on and take off - need to get some thick elastic and then just sew round the neck part - hope it works :D

Also have just finished knitting the elephant bits - have the legs, tusks and part of the head sewn up so it really shouldn't take me too long to finish him! I honestly can't wait to see him finished now :D

I am also a serial craft project hoarder. My list...

    1. Framing and collaging a load of family pics for my sister
    2. Fridge magnets
    3. A soap dish
    4. A set of drawers for my sisters jewellery
    5. A sunglasses case
    6. A gift bag
    7. Earrings
    8. Cupcake shopper bag

I'm sure I've missed something! Most importantly though I need to finish my website first!!

Looking forward to hearing about everyone's progress xx

Edit: 9. Covering a damaged table
    10. Waste paper bin

Hi all crafty folks! Happy Monday, it's lovely out there, so I'm going to top up my vitamin D and do some hand sewing out in the garden.
I have a doll to dress and then a set of lovely but tatty shelves to spruce up to sell, I went to my first car boot of the year yesterday and an antique market where I managed to pic up some beautiful bits for the dolls, some vintage china and the shelves, bargains all round.
I have just done the costing on the first doll I made, now just need to work out how much to charge for them, they are so much fun to make.
