£8 is a good price, you don't happen to live in Scotland do you??
Kia is brilliant with other dogs so that wouldn't be a problem. Will ask the GSD rescue I got her from what they reccomend aswell. I know I have a few months yet but would like to take her to visit even just to see the place for myself and make sure she doesn't freak out.

This was Kia relaxing in the sun today

This is Kia and Frankie getting closer. They are both in the same room just now which is a huge improvement in so little time.

Sorry I don't live in Scotland!

She looks gorgeous, such an intelligent face :)

Glad they are getting closer together, I'm sure they will be fine in time

Frankie seems to be coming round to him more and more and realising that she isn't going to eat him.

Was supposed to have vets with her today but I got lost on the way there lol so it's Saturday instead we are going.

Are you taking her with you? A group walk might be a little overwhelming for her when she's not long been with you - I know she sounds like she's settling in well but prevention is the key, it is much harder to fix a fear-reactive dog than it is to avoid creating one, so I would be wary about taking her to an event like this. You could always see if the rescue need a spare pair of hands to walk one of the rescue dogs to get it a bit more publicity!

I am taking her, there aren't lots of people going about 5 at the moment. If she finds it too much I will walk in the other direction around the lake though. I do think she will be fine though as she meets lots of other dogs on her walk but will suss it out before we start walking round.

    Oooh that sounds like fun!

Tyson went to his dog class about a week after I had him, and marched in there like he owned the place! 20-30 other GSDs didn't seem to phase him at all!

His problem with other dogs started when he got attacked by another dog when out on a walk. Until then, because he hadn't been socialised at all I think he found dogs exciting, but then realised they can bite too :(

She sounds like she is pretty calm and stable, I'm sure she will be fine. Even if she isn't then you will be around other experienced dog owners who will understand.

Its good to keep in touch with the rescue anyway as then if you do get problems in the future there is someone to contact for advice.

With Tyson I have found the best way to introduce him to new situations is to be confident and excited, and he picks up on this and is fine. If I am nervous or worried then he seems to pick up on this too, and that's when he gets stressed.

I wasn't sure how he would react to his hydrotherapy, but I went in there all excited. He wasn't sure, and had a bit of a wriggle to begin with, but then decided he loved it as we were all praising him lots and telling him how much fun he was having and so he started to believe it!

I am really excited about the dog walk. It's to raise funds so a good cause too.

I keep in contact with the rescue via text to the volunteer who matched and delivered Kia and through the FB page where they offer help advice and general chit chat.

Will see the volunteer who matched me with Kia on Saturday at the vets as she has a newly adopted white GSD of hers. She was fostering and fell in love with little Polo so decied to keep her :D
