if you unscrew the panel on the back, the bigger of the two, you'll see the 2 ram slots, the mini pci slot and the processor heatsink, it's as easy as undoing 6 screws, popping off this panel, putting the card in, and screwing it back down.
you can get a mini pci wireless card from ebuyer.

But wont unscrewing the laptop invalidate your warranty. PC'S are difefrent as they are designed to be updated laptop are a different matter.

no, there are certain panels on a laptop that are designed to be unscrewed, it's basically like having a little door over you motherboard where you can just access the ram slots, or something, so you can upgrade it, but you can't really go poking about.
there is no "warranty void if removed sticker" or similar0 -

Heh - I did mine before even switching it on! (Upgraded the RAM) I think most manufacturers consider normal upgrades (simple ones) are ok, as they don't need lots of expertise. It really is the case of unscrewing the little cover and sticking in your RAM/PCI card, then putting the cover back on.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

I just wondered I have heard stories before where companies have said your warranty is void and thats with a pcs not that it matters to me as I have them home built.
Just wondered if the warranty would be an issue here.

Nah, that's just so you can't see that they've blu-tacked the hard drive into place!!! I've built numerous pc's too.0 -
Lellie, PMed you about changing the ram allocation on the shared graphics, as I've no idea how to do it.
Just been through all the folders and program files removing all the stuff I really don't want. I'm seriously considering getting rid of Norton Internet Security, as I don't need it. I'll probably replace NAV with AVG, and have just ordered an internal WLAN card, as I'm fed up with my d-link external one.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
