We have about 25 jars of sour cream and I'm trying to work out how to use it as it is god awful as it is.
Hello Ausmummy
Don't suppose you have any condoms ?
I'd fill them up with sour cream
find a multi storey car park, go to the roof deck
and await unsuspecting shoppers
dive bomb them and hide behind the parapet wall
anyway enough about my misspent youth ( we used water)
Hello Gill

well i succumbed to temptation and went to T's after dropping the kids off at their usual clubs, got trouted big time that'll teach me:(
found some whoopsied fish and saw it was on a mutltibuy, tested 3 at the self serve £1 each or 3 for £1 , so went back and got around 21 more, had loads of whoopsies and a few coupon items so went to a manned till picking a youngish SA no males on:(, because it was a large shop didn't think SA would notice but my goodness she was a trout from hell -she insisted on puting all the fish through individually, then as soon as she saw the multibuy come off she scrutinised the receipt, called 2 managers who went through my trolley very rudely without asking, then went off to check with another manager who said i couldn't have the discount. Then the cheeky SA questioned my coupons. Queue of about 10 irate customers behind me now:mad::mad::mad: Anyway I was already 15mins late to collect my kids and they finally decided they would have to void the items and put them through individually. I asked if they could save the transaction and sort it at CS as it was getting embarrassing, she said no, then she started to cancel each item individually digging them out of my shopping. I asked why she couldn't just look at my receipt to see how many rather than starting from scratch as i was in a hurry and she refused. So i told her to stuff the shopping and stormed out.
Sorry I'm fuming:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

65° Asda Cream Soda (with sugar) 2 litre bottles reduced from 57p to 14p
0
Found in Hyson Green (Nottingham) store 27th March. Priced as 14p on shelf-edge label and not on yellow sticker so presumably nationwide. Reduced from 57p but strangely still marked as '4 for £2'. Please note that the sugar free variety was still at 57p. Picked up one and plenty left on shelf. Instore only.

I used four today in a Ts extra. They did't scan (i think my print quality was too low) but SA put them through for me without blinking
It was funny, when i got there i couldnt see any on the shelves and i thought I'd left it too late. Then somebody came out to restock on just the wrights mixes. For some reason that seems to be the only line they had to replenish ;-)
thank you Aau! i was asking because the SA that I had yesterday said that the code was invalid when he inputted it manually. i reckon he either have: 1) bad eyesight and cant see the numbers properly; AND/OR 2) fat finger syndrome and typed the numbers in wrongly.
Just got back from Tesco and have 2 packets of bread mixes now. Am soooooo excited that i finally got them. I'll bake them sometime this week..hopefully they are worth all the trouble i went through.:) I love bread.
ps: for those people whose bread are not turning out properlÿ:
- if the bread is too hard or not rising enough--> you need to work the dough a bit longer. kneading releases the gluten which encourages the dough to rise
- if its not rising at all --> you've got your water temperature wrong. check for warm temperature by running the water on your wrist - too hot = dead yeast, too cold = dormant yeast. you want it to be lukewarm-ish
- let the dough rise in a warmish environment, near the radiator or near the hob before shaping and baking.
- if you are making the ciabatta, you need to handle minimally after the dough have risen, coz too much handling will destroy the air pockets. its best to shape it before leaving the dough to rise.
ps: to the person who's hand mixer packed up while mixing the bread dough - i am pretty sure you cannot use hand mixers on bread dough because the mixers rotate at x number of speed per minute and bread dough is far too thick for it to rotate at that speed. you'll end up burning the motor.
for those making cakes with the mixes - avoid overbeating as overbeating will release the gluten, which is great in bread but not a good thing in cakes. gluten causes tunnelling and you wont have the light fluffy texture.
off to bake now - night alll.
purdita - congrats! Freya is such a lovely name:)0 -
Thanks AusMummy - I tried what you said but the 'open in new tab' box was already ticked, and it still opens in new window
I was hoping it wouldn't be my second suggestion as I have the answer but not right now. I know how to do it but can't remember lol. I should get there in the morn - i like a good puzzles/mystery esp when i know the answer is somewhere in this shed of a brain.Hello Ausmummy

Lol, no I haven't had any condoms for a fair few years. The last time I saw them I couldn't quite believe how many different ones there were. It could be a good way to stock up wombles, but I would need a team mate ready to swoop while said shopper is looking skyward. Although my aim isn't that good.

forgot to say : on my receipt, the SA had inputted the coupon as "offer promise" and not "coupon" ...?? not sure why though.0
