Wow, you don't half spout some s**t! :rotfl:0 -
That is no different to having an iphone though is it? What if the next or previous handset was not an iphone, as you mention it is about the manufacturer. So the Apple data is only available to another Apple device, where is the difference?
But iOS is a different OS to Android, so I wouldn't expect to be able to restore from one to the other. But one Android device to another Android device is the same OS... so I'm rather failing to see why you can't restore the backup from one to another? Unless what you're saying is that Samsung's version of Android should actually be considered a completely different OS to HTCs version of Android and that they are broadly incompatible with each other?0 -
Iphone's are simply the best. They are unbeatable.
My opinion! We’re separate, two ghosts in one mirror, no nearer

No, Owen had already explained that the data is available, it is the data that is to be restored, the additional stuff we enter onto the handsets, eg phone contacts, pictures, applications, music.
So all those features are available if I went from my trusted Sony Ericsson to say LG, the data would be available to that new handset, only if I went to iphone or windows mobile or vice versa then I would have to 'start again' .0 -

Right, so you can do a full system backup on Android and move from one device manufacturer to another and have all your data/settings/preferences restored to that device? Is this possible or is this not possible? I just want a straight answer to that!0 -

My opinion!
And we respect your opinion, naturally people will be euphoric about their choice of handset, the difference with what you have put and what say thegoodman puts, is that you have not gone off and scoured the net to try and justify why your choice is the best for everyone else , even when the argument is based on lies
I have noticed that the techrader article on ipad 3 running very hot has not or may never be mentioned by thegoodman, after all apple have had plenty of time to test the device before releasing it to market
but still people should still purchase one if tablets are their thing.0 -

I think it is because you are not asking the right question, the data (is that what you mean by system?) is available, so the quick and simple answer is yes, what is it you want to back up to bring across that you believe that you cannot?0
