Lovely burgundy Planet shrug - lightweight knit. Gorgeous for holidays - £3 out of our local Hospice shop.0

I got a beautiful, brand new dress for my work Christmas party (which is black tie) today in Sue Ryder. It's really a bridesmaid dress by Dessy and would have cost £200 but I paid £8.95
Also got a lovely Max Mara jacket for £6.95, in absolutely fantastic condition. I just googled "Max Mara Weekend jacket" and have seen how much they retail for... yikes! It would have been at least £250 and probably more like £300.0 -
On holiday last week I forgot to pack my comfy trackie bottoms for lounging around the cottage in - and we did a lot of lounging around due to the awful weather!
Small charity shop in Llandudno had a pair of M&S trackie bottoms for £3. They're still selling them in their stores for £19 so I was well pleased (lovely and clean too).Normal people worry me.0 -
I got a pilgrim necklace like this one, just different colours for 75p. I did buy it as a present for a friend's daughter but having tried it on I think I'm going to keep it for myself.

Yesterday I got myself some unworn tesco (F and F) brushed cotton pyjama bottoms for £1.50. Sadly, I will not be going to Ludlow again for its charity shops. :-( They have all put the prices up - Oxfam being the most expensive - at £20 for some knit wear and £5 - £10 for bog standard tops. And a complete lack of boys clothing!0

The other day I picked up a lovely Next top for £3.99 a bargain as it was plus size which can be more expensive.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

Recently....
Hobbs skirt, brand new with £69 tag on it  for £7
Lovely green next coat with a fuzzy detachable lining for £5 no marks on it at all, gave it a quick wash and been wearing it ever since, lots of compliments too.
All of the local strut charity shops in Lincoln held a jumble sale a couple of weeks ago, 20p per item! To get rid of the summer stock. I spent a mighty £3.40! Some of the gems were.... A school jumper for a friends son, brand new, retails at £8! (A very happy friend!) a per una skirt for my sister, a next tank top for my nephew, a girls maxi dress and lovely brown cord skirt for my niece, a next strapless top for me, a topshop dress (which unfortunately didn't fit, is now generating interest on eBay!) and a m&s duvet cover that will be magically changed into pelmets for a friends kitchen!! One of the girls I went with got a vintage suitcase for 20p!!!! I really hope they do another one in the spring.0 -
Last week I got an LK Bennett dress for £6 at the local hospice shop. It's the only outfit I've ever had where complete strangers have come up to me in the street to admire it!0

2 REALLY good days at the charity shops!
In Pershore yesterday, got myself a Mistral top (its like White Stuff but only in the south west, I think) for £3. Got sons some Next trousers and a Duffer of St George shirt for a few £ each. Then found smaller son a pair of sheepskin slippers!
Today went more local and got sons a Regatta jumper for £2 and another hoodie for about the same. Then came across some brand new Next curtains for my bedroom for £5! I have already put them up and they're splendid. Eyelet ones, purple but with an applique heart at the base (they sound a bit naff described like that but they're ace).

:D.
After putting the parts into one of our (themed:o storage boxes ) I was about to cram the box into the recycling when something made me look it up on Bricklink.
Turns out it's worth a bit :j so it's on ebay atm and fetching over £3. :rotfl:
Update: the box plus one figure from the set sold for over £30 between them _pale_ :j, so I have some glowing feedback from my happy buyers and the charity shop has an extra wodge of cash. I'm a very happy bunny especially as the day after I went in to give them the extra money I got two more small sets for DS for £5, one of which is a still- sealed £10 set! They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0
