This week, two really nice quality pairs of black M&S trousers, £4.50 and £4.99. One pair is wool, with a lining, I'll be warm as toast in those on draughty railway platforms through the winter
.
I've decided that (at 60) it's time I grew up and stopped wearing denims, unless they are very smart dark ones, which left my trousers rail somewhat depleted! I love having a focus when I go c/shopping, so I know what I want and don't buy random things that I don't need.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Does anyone else get over excited in the charity shops or is it just me:D I would rather shop charity than new any day.Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

I'm really sorry to hear that, Bogof_Babe.
I'm not far behind you age-wise and the other day I wore some converse-style striped boots which my young niece declared 'cool!'.
And I still wear my Doc Martens.
Do I need to 'grow up' too?
Or should I just age disgracefully? :rotfl:0 -
Yesterday I bought a pair of Per Una Roma jeans, which looked unworn, for £4.00 from my local hospice shop. I see on the M&S website that they are £32.50 new. I'm so pleased with them as they fit perfectly - I struggle to get trousers and jeans to fit as I need an 8-10 long length which I find hard to find.0

I have to admit I really don't need anything at the moment but I enjoy browsing.
Taking a look around yesterday but there seems to be a fresh price hike in my local CSs.
They really need to think hard about how much they charge for 'cheap' clothes (Primark, Tu, George, Matalan) and just how much they can justify as a premium for brands. Considering the have free donations plus Gift Aid they need to be realistic.
My best bargain lately was greetings cards from Cancer Research at half price. I buy their cards regularly at 99p but at 49p I stocked up.0
