These are my finds over the past 2 weeks (2 trips!)

    Blue tunic style top.

    Stripey long sleeved T shirt.

    Red smocked top.

    Pale green cotton T shirt.

All the above between £3 and £5 and all from White Stuff. :-)

Blue and white top (looks like Willow pattern) from Fat Face. £3

2 fleece jumpers for my sons, 1 was £2, the other £1.50.

A Coke glass (they used to give them away or sell them at McD's) to replace my stepson's favourite glass that got broken - 60p.

If you want to feel even better about your bargain, just have a look here at how much your items are selling for on a chinamatch website.

NO!!! Amazing!! But it's stopping on my shelf, it looks lovely and the cups are just the right size to use with my coffee machine (wrong I know!).

Been trying to cut down but today I had a splurge and got a brand new pair of Per Una straight leg black jeans (can tell they are new as they still had the tiny round checker's sticky label on the washing instrucs) for £4.99, and a gorgeous deep purple silky short sleeved M&S blouse for £3.50, which was also new, as when I hand washed it some purple dye came out.

    Party outfit for £8.49 :T.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

I love this thread! Not spending at the mo, and MIL often bring her goodies she's found for the children. But love hearing about all the finds!

    Away with the fairies
  • Lots of books for dd lately mainly Jacqueline Wilson books which she is reading at a rate of 1 every 1-2 days, all really cheap ranging from 25p-69p quite a few of them hardbacks :j
  • Two very pretty M&S long sleeve tops, £3 each!

Out of interest, do you find some charity shops better than others?

I always find Oxfam to be the dearest, the independent, smaller charity shops seem to be cheaper, AGE UK tend to have less trendy clothes, etc.

Round here Oxfam is always the dearest, Sue Ryder seems to get the better stuff (or throw the dross out) while the cat rescue is the cheapest but scummiest!! Just got three long stemmed pudding dishes, twisted stems and fluted tops very pretty, may use them for posh puds or maybe candle holders £2.95.

  • Recently got a 1930's Denby Byngo dog for £2. Wanted one for ages but they are quite expensive so I'm very pleased :)

    No wonder you're pleased!

Was it marked with the 'Denby' or 'Danesby' stamp?

Most charity shops I go in seem clued-up to stuff like that which has the maker's stamp on.

I've bought a few Denby bits that I know are Denby (I have the Denby book) but because they aren't stamped they don't realise they are Denby and so don't charge much for them.

My Oxfam is the cheapest - apart from the odd designer item all clothes are £2.99.

Scope seems to have put it's prices up lately and tends to have the best stuff but things seem to be priced around the £6 mark now - breaking my £5 rule!

Anyway next time I plan to have a charity shop curfew I shall keep quiet as I am always on an epic fail!

On Tuesday from Sense I bought a lovely next top and a nice jumper £2.60 each and then in Scope they were having a half price sale but nothing I choose was marked down however the lovely young gentleman put them all through at half price. I bought a lovely Gap tartan dress £3, a rather unusual top with chickens, sheep and little red riding hoods scattered throughout just for a bit of fun - no doubt sounds hideous but it was really cute - a beautiful silk skirt and a Cath Kidston dress all £3.

Ooh and Friday two beautiful wine glasses for my daughter to take to Uni £2.75 the pair.

Would have loved them for myself!
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.
