I remember, when I was a little tiny CJ, we had a jelly mould like that at home and I recall the secret was to swill the mould out with cold water (and leave it wet) before putting the hot dissolved jelly into it. I'm not sure how the magic actually happens, but it did always seem to work.0 -
Grease the mould slightly or dip in to hot water for a few seconds to heat the glass but not melt the jelly too much!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

- a Baylis & Harding perfect Xmas box tower set for £4
Does anyone ever actually use anything made by Baylis & Harding?
The charity shops are full of them every January and I wonder if yours was donated after last Christmas, failed to sell, and was put away until the next Christmas event (having subsequently been brought out and failed to sell on Valentine's, Mother's Day and any other event).
Of course it might be even older than last Christmas.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

I agree, and the same goes for Sanctuary stuff as well. When I was young it was a real treat to get a box of toiletry goodies at Christmas and one eked them out throughout the year. These days people seem to be flooded with them and the CS and Car Boots are full of them throughout the year.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Now I actually DO buy the big Sanctuary gift set when it's half price in Boots, and if I see them in the sales after Christmas, as I love the smells and use them thru the year. I don't buy any toiletries or perfume in a chazzer as I don't know how long it has sat in a cupboard before being donated, so may have died in storage.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

My in laws win loads of Bayliss & Harding stuff in charity function raffles. They always offer them to me and I always have to politely refuse.
I had an ex boyfriend who's surname was one of the brands names. Makes me cringe seeing it.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

I confess I've been given the stuff and I have a hand wash and hand cream set in the cupboard that will be re-gifted. It's not that I dislike it, I just don't have any use for it!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
