What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

My woolly jumper buying continues. Yesterday I went to the charity shop that has 10 items for £10 I got a couple of tops, 2 m&s merino wool jumpers, a fat face dress and a mantaray cardigan.
Back up to the charity shops this lunch time to stretch my legs.0 -
I dropped into a charity shop on my way back from Lidl, it was such a nice day I walked the couple of miles and seldom go into this particular shop. There were two pairs of unused loafters - one black Footglove and the other navy suede Dune. £2.50 per pair! I was just about to pay and then noticed a lovely soft purple twin set for £4 and it's my favourite colour so I had to have it. Also a Basler dressy top and cardigan/jacket thing for £2 which looked like a good buy. So in total I spent £11.
When I got home I looked up the Escada outfit which was, by the way, 100% cashmere and showed no signs of having been worn or washed. Online the cardigan is £495 and the top £295. I nearly fell over!
I calculate that I bought £900's worth. A very satisfactory day indeed, and I shall walk more often.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

My latest mission is a small measuring jug.
I want it for measuring milk for my morning porridge.
I have a large one but I want (not need) a small one.
Am I bonkers?Of course not! I got a mini Pyrex measureing jug (half pint) in a 25p box at a chazzer years ago. So useful, and used much more than my 1 litre Pyrex jug. I'm of the opinion if the big one had a smashing time, I'd think twice about replacing it, but the small one would definately be replaced asap.
Or as asap as I can find a used one, anyroad.:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I really like Pyrex and my singleton household has; two large round casseroles, 4 medium and two small tureens (and a spare lid for one of them, plus 3 small and 3 medium pudding basins, plus a strange rectangular lidded one (ancient) and the two jugs. None of which I bought new, some were my Gran's and some were Nan's and some were Mum's and some came from bootsales and chazzers.
They're in heavy use; one of the large and two of the medium casseroles are in the fridge atm.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

My Pyrex "thing" is hereditary as my dad worked for the US owners Joblings back when I was a twinkle and a bairn in the late fifties & very early sixties, where he met my godfather
Some of my Pyrex is c.1984 1sr wedding gift, some is c.mid 1990s DH's, some is c.1960/70 family heirloom stuff (much discussed with my brothers when clearing mum's home in 2005). Also, DS1 has some 1970's bits from our family home2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
