I think I'd have snapped up the £1.50 one.

Agreed. Those things are old-fashioned collectables nowadays. Like the brown and cream pottery mixing bowls, they don't look much but they get snapped up for their authenticity.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

I donated my glass jelly and an aluminium rabbit mould to a CS a few years ago but I'm keeping my lovely large Mason Cash mixing bowl as it's still in use!

Dolly - would a dab of black marker pen cover the mark? I've used this in the past.

It might well but I don't have one. It's hardly noticeable really and DH doesn't seem bothered, for football and dog walking I think it's fine and he said it was very warm so he seems happy.

I've seen a few old jelly moulds recently but haven't actually looked at the price as I wouldn't use them.

Pollycat - clashing patterns can look really good. Lots of people wear stripes and florals which at one time I believe wasn't very favourable. Give it a whirl.

    Thanks, dolly.
I've tried them on together with a red vest and the colours in trousers and cardigan are the same. The navy is very dark in both.
I think they look good together, haven't asked OH yet (who's pretty good with what goes with what).

Bought a fab pair of Next leggings, black with a bit of silver glitter (to wear with my silver Chelsea boots). A bit pricey (for me) at £3.99 from Age Concern but they are lovely quality and in unworn condition.
I wore these ^^^^ yesterday (after a quick wash through).
I bought them without trying them on and they are fab!
Stronger than 'normal' leggings, more like control ones with a high, deep waistband. Very flattering.
A friend of mine we met in the pub loved them. She asked where they were from and I said 'Next' omitting to mention they came via a charity shop.
She's going to look for a pair.
Was I bad not to 'fess up? :o

Yesterday I bought a New look short cardi in a coral colour. I have lots of sleeveless dresses that it will go with. £1.00 Air Ambulance.

And....a French Connection casual jacket with quilted lining and a fur collar and cuffs - a bit like aviator style.
Lining and collar (always a good check) look in very good condition, outside is a bit faded but I think it may be how it should look.
    £1.00 from Air Ambulance.
A short parks style jacket on FC website is £180.
Washed and hanging on the airing cupboard door.
It might have to stay there as I'm not sure if there's room in my coat wardrobe. :rotfl:

On my Christmas shopping trip with my sister at the weekend, I bought (not a charity shop bargain) a wonderful pair of Clarks bronze brogues.
    2Q==https://www.clarksoutlet.co.uk/p/261219034
RRP £80, £56 on Clarks Outlet website but I paid £30 from TKMaxx.
Look great with thick tights and short dresses/skirts and jeggings and leggings.

They almost always have those glass jelly moulds every month at Nettlebed, and they're most probably only 50p as they're always in with the 50p Pyrex stuff. If I see one when I next go, I'll get you one as a Christmas present.

Validation! I knew if I waited long enough I’d get the right answer on this thread :T:T:T

50p is the limit. Anything more would make me feel cheated :D

I never used to be a 'cardi' person but I am on a mission to find some more good quality ones now. The reason being I have several nice sleeveless dresses that I had hoped to wear over the summer but summer didn't seem to happen this year so I thought I would look for some nice cardigans so's I can wear them through winter. So far I have found black, cobalt blue, cream and dark pink. Each cost either 99p or £1.

I like the sound of your spotty/tartan ensemble!! :)
