Went hunting for a particular author for DH - no luck but did find a brand new Jasper Conran seersucker jacket for him in the Sally Army for £3. Shame it was too small for the fatty lol! Will see if DS1 likes it if not it will be returned :(

Yesterdays finds in a chazzer near my new home were a Peppa Pig football, a Frozen bag, an unusual but smart blouse and a BNWT pink leather case for my iPad, which I’m absolutely delighted with :)

And another 5 books. Total spend £8.49.

    dolly84 - fab Seasalt bargain.

    Had a good day yesterday.
    Air Ambulance:
Mantaray long sleeved striped shirt for OH £1.00

M&S Autograph knee-length black dress with elbow length sleeves and a fold over 1950's style collar.
Very fitted in a heavyweight jersey, like bodycon.
Seam detailing and a fancy panel across the waist. Perfect condition.
This dress is fabulous! And must have been expensive, But to me £1.00 :j
This dress is most definitely not the style to wear my DMs or flat ankle boots with.
Think slinky Marilyn Monro in 'Some like it Hot'.

Then I splurged on a George short sleeved dress with 2 front pockets in pale pink, silver and royal blue. That was £3.50 from a local charity shop.

Air Ambulance have a lovely pair of Moda in Pelle gold leather strappy sandals in my size (also £1.00).
But the heels are sky-scraper high.
And my stiletto days are long gone. :(

    Some lovely bargains being had.

Pollycat - that sounds like a great dress, will you find the occasion to wear it?

Yesterday I called back to the shop that is closing and got a H&M navy blue jacket that I saw the day before, it is actually a mans and quite loose but it has lots of pockets and I thought it would be great for dog walking, lots of places to put keys, phone and dog bags £2.75.

I am now on a self-imposed buying ban for November, I simply can't cram another item of clothing into my wardrobe or drawers and there is nothing I really want to let go.

Was it MrsE / ONW that used the signature “Man plans, God laughs”? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I made the same vow myself a few weeks ago. Since then I have accrued so much, all of it very much wanted and useful :)

£1 baby sleeping bags in the local hospice shop. One bigger for DS and another 0-3 for no.2.

I might go insane waiting until the end of the month to find out what we're having. Don't tell DH I've bought a few pink bits 'just in case'... will sell them on if we've got another boy in there.

Two little Lovatts vases, identical deep blue top, grey & flower stencilled bottomed, basestamps dating to around 1910-1920s & turners stamps in agreement. Both mine for £2.65.

Himself got a pair of trousers for £16, which I thought extortionate til I realised they were brand new & retail for £87. So cancer research did us proud!

I love wouldn't defining coloured baby stuff myself but then my lot wore baby grows I'd dyed green. As white shows Everything & green shows up fast & identifiable. Years later we all wore the loudest coats I could afford as that way we could find each other across several hundred yards. Spoiled hide & seek for a bit but saved a lot of "ulp, where" moments!

I think it will be a Christmas dress.
Or at least a Saturday evening in the pub.

This ^^^^ is what I should be saying to myself.
But I have got 2 summer dresses to go to the hospice shop along with a White Stuff dress that is the wrong style for me (I was suckered by the colour, pattern and fabric but at least it was a charity shop buy) and have earmarked another 2 dresses that I'll wear then wash to go too.
I object to taking an ironed item to the charity shop.
    Does that sound crazy? :o

We are going to a black tie event and typically dh has mislaid both his bow tie and cufflinks so off we went to the cs. In the first local hospice shop we got cufflinks for 50p very plain silver ones which will be just right. We then went to the cut price hospice shop. All clothes £1 and bric a brac and accessories 3 for £1 so he managed to get a black bow tie, another tie, a cut glass type trifle dish, a crystal wine glass, a Bon Bon dish and a very large Le parfait type jar for the princely sum of £2. Later in the day I took dd to Asda for a couple of bits and popped in to the cut price cancer research shop. I got a lovely statement gold coloured necklace to wear to black tie event for £1 and theses shoes. The shoes are brand new and cost £3. I'm envisaging wearing them with thick tights and winter skirts or dresses as an alternative to boots.
