I knew its been a heavy month for me in the chazzers, and I've just totted it up to £119 - which is a lot for someone who was supposed to be giving them a miss!
But what I have got for my money is worth a great deal to me (probably saved the best part of £500 based on the curtain purchase alone).Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Does this include junk/antique shops? This week I saw a vintage grey topper, in its original box and in good condition. Not only that, but it fitted my big head. Got it for under £40!0

A White Stuff purple velvet coat for £5, it goes really well with the purple and blue White Stuff dress which I found for £10 (eek!), a really nice Nike top for DS for £1 and a Hollister sweatshirt for £6 also for DS so not super cheap but all really nice. and (she says self justifyingly) a fraction of what they would have cost originally😀0

Got it for under £40!
Yesterday I bought a large tax-dodger Starbucks mug for 20p. And another 4 books - really interesting stuff, covering: the 48 hours it took to topple Hitler, an anthology of depressing songs, a memoir of a Chernobyl survivor and a witty take on the 1980s - for 50p each.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Spent £1 to get two party dresses at the Everything 50p Chazzer. They'd just about fit me if I'd wear sleeveless numbers which'd just about cover my undies, but I bought them to dismantle for the fabric and trimmings.
One is darkest navy satin, and the other is a gorgeous turquoise faux silk. I am reaching for the quik unpick as you read this, mwah ha ha!

Nettlebed again today, in the pouring rain! The good thing was that this meant hardly anyone else braved the weather and the place was almost deserted.
My daughter came with me this time and she bought over £300 worth of books for her primary school class for just £20, and she was really thrilled. She said the quality of the books she found was amazing.
I spent about £15 in total and for that I bought a 5ft wide Sanderson roller blind, a Bosch nespresso-like coffee maker, a juice extractor attachment for my Magimix, a wooden pirate ship and a play dough fun factory, three cuddly toys for the dog, and a small square wooden coffee table which I am going to use to stand my doll's house on while I work on it. Phew!0 -
I'm still staying strong with my no buy for me but did get DS a F&F quilted sweatshirt for £1.75. I'm OK with buying things for DS or DD and there are a few bits I am looking for for the house but no clothes or shoes for me or DH.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
