Been looking for a mirror for some time....wanted one with a French rococo stylee cream frame....none to be found except for one I saw in a pawsh furniture shop with a price tag of £180. Anyhoo, today I found just what I wanted in the Community Shop! Someone had shabby chic'd it, (originally was a gold frame I suspect), and done it very well. Was a right old struggle getting it home on the bus but for the price asked, (£2.50), it was well worth it.
Yesterday I was in the 99p, St Gemma's shop in Otley and found a 3/4 sleeved White Stuff top in a heavy textured white cotton with unusual navy embroidery - will be nice with dark navy jeans and also an M & S black cap sleeved knee length dress in a heavy jersey - cross over top and very intricate seaming on the skirt part which gives a nice swishy effect.0 -
VfM4meplse - I am going to give it my best shot.

Just brought a lovely soft lambswool coat originally from house of fraiser for £7.50.
It's more than I normally spend per item but I love wool coats, they're just so warm.0 -
Was passing the Community Charity Shop again today and decided to pop in even tho I was only there yesterday afternoon. Glad I did as I found a b/n smelly Christmassy candle in a tin for 75p and a lovely patterned Pashmina lookee likee for £1 - gorgeous shades of aubergine grey and silver.0

A Marks and Spencer 100% cotton towelling bathrobe for £2.50.
These days, there are none in the ladies nightwear section of my local Markies and the gents area has one for £35.
I have one from ASDA from the early 1980s and it's seen better days. This new one is a better quality replacement.
ETA: Local Compton Hospice shop. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -

Well I went nuts again just yesterday. I bought two girly sleeping bags, a Peppa Pig ball, a Frozen light handbag and Minnie Mouse sturdy handbag for my niece for £5.50, and an inflatable adult space hopper with pump for myself (don’t ask!) for £2. Then I found an amazing pair of curtains for my new home in just the shade I wanted for £10.
Plus another 8 books for myself.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

You've definitely had your moneys worth from your Asda dressing gown.foxyloxy11 wrote: »grey cold shoulder top and black skinny jeans (new look and BHS) both as new £3 for top and £3.50 for trs. Not bad £6.50 for a new outfit
I love skinny jeans, I find them so comfortable as they just move with you rather than you moving inside them.VfM4meplse wrote: »Well I went nuts again just yesterday. For £2 it was a no-brainer. If it doesn’t work out, my niece can hop around on it as she grows up, whenever she stays with me (which I hope will be a lot!). Hours of funValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
