Visited St Gemma's in Otley for the first time in ages. The cs where everything is 99p. All books now are 50p as they have so many they are trying to get rid of them. Got 2 brand new shirts for DS for work, brilliant for 99p.. Sadly the women's stuff was the usual old tat!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Ha, I was there on Tuesday! I am really missing my visits to the, now closed, hospice sale so I decided to 'do' the charity shops in Otley instead. Not very impressed at the quality or prices. Only thing that interested me was a Laura Ashley dress but at £12.95 I decided I was not that interested. Returned to my local haunts today and found a nice pair of brocade-type slim fit trousers in a navy/beige/pink abstract pattern which I am pleased with, label cut out and cost £4.50 but seem brand new and good quality.0 -
I recently bought a vintage sewing machine, it's hand crank and will do leather for £25! My local has a £1 sale on so may be popping in after work today.0

Went to a nearby big city yesterday and did all the charity shops.
Bought a lovely long sleeved striped Paul Smith shirt for £4.79 for OH.
Looking at his website, shirts go from £100 upwards.
And a stylish tunic dress with 3/4 sleeves in a 2-patterned green, cream and navy flower design. £4.95 Age Concern.
Looks fab wth navy opaque tights and my navy Clarks chelsea boots (which sadly weren't from a charity shop but were in the sale).0 -
Yesterday in Troon between the Ayrshire Hospice shop and Oxfam I was delighted to get 2 wooden magazine files for 99p each (are £7 a pair in IKEA), a large wicker sewing basket for £4, a small wooden unit with 2 teeny drawers £2.50 and several brand new circular knitting needles for 50p each0

Another good haul yesterday from our local Air Ambulance shop.
Per Una red casual jacket, autumn/spring weight £1.00
Tu jersey (I love their jersey fabric) 3/4 sleeve short dress with dark background and orange & blue flowers £1.00.
I think I have some flowered DM boots that will go perfectly.
Surfanic long sleeve base layer top in mint green with white spots £1.00
This is a ski range and says:This specially designed material not only keeps the skin warm but the breathability properties allow sweat to absorb through the material away from the skin and disperses it for maximum evaporation which keeps you dry and comfortable at all times.
Hopeully great for walking and maybe excercising when it's not that warm in my spare bdroom.
I also bought a 3000 piece jigsaw  that says 'complete' on the box, alpine view of Switzerland and a 'world's smallest 1000 piece jigsaw of Machu Pichu - still sealed in the bag - both for £1.
This is rapidly becoming my favourite shop. :T0 -

Had a good, if expensive, week charity shop shopping! Seem to be spending much more now that the hospice sale closed for business
Black, Next, ankle grazer trousers, reduced to £1.15
Brown, leather, as new, ankle boots with stiletto heels - gorgeous quality but no makers name? £4
Grey wool, Hobbs dress - someone had let the hem down really badly so I spent ages undoing and restoring things and also removed some strange flappy bits from the top of the armholes. I quite enjoyed doing it and have ended up with a lovely quality sheath stylee dress for £3
All from the Community Shop
Today I got a pair of M & S straight legged trousers in taupe from Oxfam for £4.99 - rather overpriced, (as usual for Oxfam!), but I already have them in a different colour and love them....0
