What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

From Sue Ryder shop:
Sheepskin coat 3/4 length, in very good condition with just a few faint marks on the sleeves on the bend of the elbow.
Sleeves are a perfect length for me - I have short arms.
I find some sheepskin coats are very restricting but this is really comfortable.
£2.00
Not quite as good a bargain as this ^^^ but a Next buttersoft leather biker jacket in an olive greeny-grey colour.Ted Baker maroon butter-soft leather biker jacket, BNWT, £29.99. Original tag said £200. DH's chrimbo pressie to his lovely wife
It has a grey zip-out jersey insert that goes from the bottom of the jacket into a hoody.
Lining is unmarked.
£6.99 from a local hospice shop.0 -
It's not the most exciting bargain, but I've started buying jigsaws at charity shops and it's a massive saving. I've bought 5 so far and only one had a piece missing, I've paid £1.50 - £2 each for them whereas new 1000 piece jigsaws are about £10 - £15 so I'm very pleased

Was hanging my washing out yesterday and thought my grey office trousers (much used, about ten years old, from Next) felt a bit odd, and realised they were thinning all along the gusset seam, and were on the point of ripping a massive hole somewhere you really don't want uncovered....
I knew if I went round my usual chazzers I'd find a replacement, and sure enough the CPL came up trumps with a smart pair from Warehouse for £4. Also got 3 books for 50p each (about as cheap as it gets in London). They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
This week's finds:-
Burgundy, Country Casuals jumper with a bit of bling in the form of sequinned diamonds all over*, (looks better than it reads, honest!), perfect with a pair of burgundy velvet jeans already purchased, £4.74 from the Sue Ryder Shop.
Wine coloured 'ankle grazer' lightweight trousers from Miss Selfridge £1
Brand new camera case, 50p - perfect Chrimbo present for ditsy friend who left one on a train in Japan recently!
Last 2 items from the Community Shop
* One of my pet hates is a top that is decorated only at the front with the back left plain!0 -

My mum always got her jigsaws from chazzers or jumble sales (she only had one with a missing piece) when she had compleated a jigsaw she would put all the pieces in a bag and tape it shut before 're donating, as there would be no chance of a piece escaping if the top of the box came off.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0 -
Miro I'm so with you on tops that have only the front decorated - Always seems cheapskate ( says she who charity shops all the time lol) Nipped I to my local cancer charity shop today ( the one where I got my two leather jackets) and found d a nice denim jacket with a quilted lining for DH and a gorgeous fuchsia shirt! He was a little surprised at the colour but I know he'll wear it. They were a little more expensive (£12 for the two) but virtually new and the money goes to a worthwhile charity.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

A lovely lead crystal spherical vase with a sunflower design for £3 I googled it and it's apparently 1950s and German. Beautiful and useful. Also a pretty little mug with a blue heart for £1 and a bracelet for 50p.0

I also do this... I'm pretty specific with them. 1000 Piece Disney Puzzle's!! I almost get one every time I'm in charity shops. Once a month/2 weeks.0 -
For £3 - A grey cashmere (M&S Autograph) round-neck jumper, new - perfect for the OH and will be a birthday pressie for him in early January as I've already got the Christmas one.
Plus a "Chanel" scarf for £5 - a fake, but pure silk so still a bargain!0 -
I love poinsettias this time of year, but have given up buying them as they always die a slow, drooping death and make me feel like a murderer. Just resolved this with a quite decent mid-sized fake one- £1 from the local hospice shop. Also got a simple Coast top suitable for work for £2.
As an aside, I think Barnados have had the nicest range of charity Christmas cards this year; really lovely traditional artwork. They are an EYESORES!!!!0
