Not a charity shop bargain as such, but a few weeks ago we donated a few bits of furniture to our local red cross shop. They take it off to the depot in the next town and decide what to do with it and where they're going to send it.

Browsing in there today, what do I see but my old cabinet! They've fixed the door knob, sorted the shelves and used it to display crockery, and obviously it had a price on it as well .

Good to think that it's not gone to landfill and the money they raise will help their charity. I felt quite warm inside.

I needed to visit a town 15 miles away, had a browse and bought a pair of Topshop skinny flare jeans for £2.00. I used to wear these years ago so thought they would make a change from skinny jeans that seem to have been aound for years. Also a white broderie anglaise t-shirt for £2.49. A new outfit for £4.49.:j
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

Forgot to to mention that the other day, I also got a pair of calf length mustard colour culottes with tan belt for £2.

Also from the Scope shop in the city, I got a insulated lunch bag with hedgehogs on, brand new and from dotcomgiftshop. They seemed to be selling a lot of their items such as lunch bags, those massive laundry bags etc. it didn't have a price on so I took it to the till and she said they were £3.50 but she would let me have it for £2.50 as they were closing down on the 15th. She nearly started crying as she was so upset about it and was telling us the whole story why. By the time I got back to the till, she sold it for £1.25! :j

I also bought a cherry scented anti bac hand gel which should have been £2.99 but she sold it to me for £1.99. She was like "my boss isn't in, so I'll give you a bargain!" and she said from Saturday, he was going to reduce everything to £1, so I need to try and get back through if I can. It's a real shame it's closing down though as it's a good shop. :(

Not my bargain of the week as I didn't buy but a bargain for some lucky person. In a local charity shop that helps local causes were two small chest of drawers/ bedside tables. Dark wood with brass handles and brass corners in what I would describe as military/maybe naval style. All wood and priced at £20 each. Would have been priced a lot higher in many other charity shops, I just wish I had room for them

    Hi all,

Haven't been on MSE for a while but I'm going to a swap shop organised by my university tomorrow and it made me miss this thread and all the lovely bargains! I do get very excited about these things so I've already picked out all the clothes and shoes I'm swapping tomorrow including a beautiful pair of heels that are just too uncomfortable for me. Hopefully, they'll be perfect for someone else.

The charity shops in Portswood, Southampton are good. You'll find a lot of items donated by students such as heels, pretty dresses and etc so would definitely recommend if anyone's popping by! :):)

Found an Aldini jacket for a friend-she looked lovely in it.

Righty-o, I shall volunteer to chauffeur the next time a family member books a cruise.

Had a trawl on Saturday morning - came back with some clothes and a colouring pencil set for the baby, a dress for my sister, a blouse for my mum and 3 "Race for Life" t-shirts for us. Plus 2 maracas for the baby, at 50p each - she loves them!

And another 5 books for me!

Got two pairs of jeans, one which was A and F, a pair of leggings, two shirts and a fluffy jumper. Quite pleased with the haul today!

I also managed to find some nearly new New Look heels in my size which will replace the heels I donated and the platform makes them so comfy. :)
