Unless it is unwanted gifts that were given to people who don't use such things, but all the same I'd have expected an equivalent amount of Sanctuary, Boots, M&S etc. It seems to be all year round too, not just post-Xmas. Very puzzling.
Considering our Tesco Extra had shelf after shelf of them half-price before Christmas, I'm not surprised how many charity shops have them but am surprised how expensive they're priced at.0 -
Also - has anyone seen walking sticks in Chazzas? I need one for a play (i work with kids and often need props!) thought i would definitely find one in a chazza but no luck so far... wondering if its one of those things they don't sell/.are unable to sell....I shall keep looking!
The shop I used to volunteer at used to sell plenty of them. I can't see why any shop wouldn't sell them for any reason?0 -

You could ask whether they have any? They might be in the back room.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

There are often several boxed sets of toiletries for just a pound or two, but they always seem to contain bath gel/foam etc. and I only use a shower. I did get a lovely box of Crabtree and Evelyn goodies for £3 - on sale online at over £30. £3 seemed a fair price for it really!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Don't get me started on the price of books.
I bought a hardback copy of Gone Girl for 50p from my local hospice shop, the dust cover was a bit tatty round the edges but when I took it off, the book itself had the same design on it. It looks like it might have been read once.
I've seen poor condition paperback copies of the same book for £1.99.Living_proof wrote: »There are often several boxed sets of toiletries for just a pound or two, but they always seem to contain bath gel/foam etc. and I only use a shower. Funny I had a wander around some Chazzers on Wednesday and saw 3 Bayliss & Harding gift sets in one shop :rotfl:Was chatting to the lovely SA and she said they had loads in and they were very hard to sell as everyone got the bl**dy things for Christmas including me who got 2 of them  Holding mine back for raffle prizes later in the year
I saw them for sale in a local supermarket and the best set with the most in was reduced to £10 and that was before Christmas.
Anyway well done on all your bargains as I am trying not to buy at the momentand doing rather well
