How funny is this -
Nipped in to BHF on Saturday I never buy anything as its so pricey in there but was waiting for DH and spotted a pair of long with a bit of wear on the heels Faux :eek:leather boots for wait for it £40 :eek: They had a worn out sticker on the sole which you could just make outYep Primark £17.99 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Who the hell prices these things if I can spot the label why cant who ever is pricing these things.
All you can do is laugh as all the other Chazzers are clearing the boots as its so late in the season.

Is it just me or do others find great joy in finding a bargain in a CS and then love telling everyone about it? Friday we went to do our food shop in a little market town near us. It has lots of charity shops and we always have a look in.
In one I spotted some men's winter walking trousers: thermal insulated, lots of pockets, cord around the ankle, original tags still on, so never worn, £8.99. OH tried them on; they were a bit long but could easily be taken up. I then went to the till and the woman said, 'As it is after 3pm everything is half price. So that's £4.50, please.':jBooks - the original virtual reality.

I'm slowly converting my MIL with my gleeful shoutings about my bargains!
I don't understand the 'urgh, it's been used' mentality for most things. Everything new is used once you use it once, how is using a thoroughly cleaned/washed top/skirt/teapot/cushion cover etc. from a charity shop any different as long as it's in reasonable condition?“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. I get quite a few compliments on what I wear - I think it's because I tend to buy off-the-wall stuff that nobody else has seen in the local mainstream shops - and I don't mind telling people where I've bought it from.
Great bargain with the trousers.0 -

No, it's not just you! My gorgeous Turquoise Tommy & Kate real leather bag gets admired all the time and I'm always quick to tell people where I got it from and how much I paid lol! My Aunty who is a fellow CS fan was most impressed that it looks brand new and was only about £4.50! My other Aunty admired it and was like "Ooo look at you with the designer bag!", but then was like "Oh, right" when I gleefully told her about my bargain.
She's like my Mam, and is not a charity shop fan. Strange though how she admired and loved the bag until she found out where it came from!0 -
I love CS and have had some great finds: a red Phase Eight winter coat, several Boden dresses, and a couple of Radley handbags. I nearly bought a Boden dress yesterday but then reminded myself that I already had a few and the colour wasn't great.
I usually have a list of things I am looking for. Currently on my list are: tablemats/coaster set, kilner jars, white blouses/shirts for under cardigans.
Lovely thread, I don't know how I missed it.Books - the original virtual reality.

EVERYTHING at the BHF costs a fortune! I never go into it anymore, our local independents are much more sensible pricing.VfM4meplse wrote: »a blouse that I know my mum wold love. It turms out she has it already
