What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

I went in a couple of charity shops yesterday, but came out empty handed for two reasons. Firstly, nothing really caught my eye, and secondly, tops that I might have bought in the past were actually quite expensive. I've noticed prices going up more and more lately and can only think thats because it's now fashionable and popular to shop in charity shops?
Maybe I'm just getting fussier or more select in the things that I buy?

I have bought 2 in CS for £3.50 (one for a friend of my daughter) but I think this was before they became fashionable - about a couple of years ago. I have seen them at CBS but haven't enquired the price as I don't need another!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Yesterday I bought some Per Una Perfume , unopened . It's called Vintage Love. Cost £.50 but I have to say I'm disappointed.
However in the same chazza I also bought a packe of black labels and a chalk pen for 49p. I've made a lovely job of all the glass Kilmer jars I use for my droid good cupboard.
Also got a very nice Country Cqsula dress in tan and blqck, bias cut with a Cole neck and short fluttery sleeves. It's lovely. If got a Weding to wear it to.£4.50Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
Dried goods cupboard! Don't you just hate predictive text that makes nonsense of posts
Have just received two invitations - one to an 80th birthday in March and the other to a wedding in July. Will check wardrobe for anything suitable before I go trawling the CS for anything. May only need some nice accessoriesSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Bought a brand new, still cellophane wrapped with cardboard insert, single cream coloured fitted polycotton sheet in RSPCA for £2. It was originally sold by a shop called Living, that used to be in our town about 20 years ago, so had obviously been in the back of someone's cupboard for ages.
I'm sleeping in a single bed in the spare room at present, due to a cat that kept attacking me in the marital bedso it's perfect. I've washed and dried it and put it straight on the bed, having decided that it's been stored away for too long already! I was pleased enough when I found one in Tesco half price for £3, so now I have two for the grand total of a fiver :T .
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Got a non-stick loaf tin today for £0.99, was really chuffed as I never bought myself one before as they were all £5 in supermarkets, and it's a decent size which doesn't appear to be going cheaper than £3 on Amazon.
Now I just need a house in which to put a cooker and then I can use it :rotfl:0 -

Lol, I bought a couple of brand-new-in-packet pale blue shirts a few years ago for OH for £3 for 2 from a local charity shop in Dunblane...from C&A! The packet looked very 1980s but the shirts were plain powder blue so they don't go out of fashion and I've only just chucked them in the bin due to being ruined by deodorant stains I can no longer get out after wearing and washing once a week.
p.s. why don't you boot Moggy out of the bedroom?? I'm as 25-year-old-cat lady as they get but when my little bundle of fluff Harry gets to the "attacking my feet under the covers" stage of the week, he gets locked out despite the scratching at the door and meowing. Eventually he gets bored and goes downstairs. No way am I giving up my bed for what my Scottish OH has affectionately nicknamed "the wee sh*te"!“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Ah, well he's OH's cat (I didn't want another one and said it would have to be his responsibility), and he won't have it excluded from the bedroom. It never attacks him, only me.
Besides which, he likes the top window wide open whatever the weather, and I got fed up of sleeping in an icy draught.
Said cat has a heart condition and requires medication three times a day, which OH does as cat won't let me give it a tablet. When the heart condition has finally seen him off (the cat!) I'm dreading being expected to go back to the shared bed. In my little room I can keep the light on and read as long as I want, and usually have the radio on quietly all night. I'm sleeping much better than I ever did before I moved out!
Not to mention the times I've woken up in agony to find a deep scratch down my leg, because OH is lax about cutting his toenails! I still have the scars. Getting attacked from both sides is not my idea of a peaceful sleep!

Ah, so it's not just the cat! Fair enough, carry on with staying up all night reading, sounds perfect to me“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A.
