The Cancer Research shop was having a £1 sale today. I bought a Zara woolly cardigan, a pair of suede Isotoner gloves and a bag of Appleton's tapestry wool. They insisted that as the last two were 'small' items I should only pay £2.0

Money saved that you would have spent? (I wanted a new coat and found one in a charity shop rather than buying new off the high street)
Increase in quality? (I needed a new sweater and got a brand XX instead of cheapo new)
Something you would never have bought otherwise? (Another coat, a very random gadget...)
Or of course a profit for resale.
It's a mixture for me too.
Since shopping in CS I have more clothes, and the quality is higher. As said I have a scarf in nearly every colour/ pattern I can think of.
All my handbags are from CS, and I have many now, mostly leather.
I do find it hard to go to a "normal" shop and buy anything-as I just think I'll wait and it will eventually arrive in a CS.
All my work clothes usually come from the £1 rail.
"Going out" clothes maybe £2 or £3 for a top.
Chunky beads 50p etc.
I have painted good quality-last my lifetime- brown solid furniture which has cost peanuts from car boots.
Pre CS I I didn't spend much on clothes and bought from supermarkets etc. Now I probably spend less, have more, and I've got "makes" in my wardrobe-which don't actually mean that because I'm not a "make" person. But a Fat Face or White Stuff top does last longer and still look good after 100 washes compared with one from Primari.
I also am a recycling fanatic-so CS shopping is part of the cycle. I take bundles in from time to time.:j0 -
Husband has developed a very sharp eye for Denby & strolled out with a dozen Imperial Blue saucers, for £2. Didn't snap up the coffee pot - left that for me to decide it was worth £3.99! Bless the man!0

Some proper bargains here, well done fellow chaz-ers.The Cancer Research shop was having a £1 sale today. I bought a Zara woolly cardigan, a pair of suede Isotoner gloves and a bag of Appleton's tapestry wool. They insisted that as the last two were 'small' items I should only pay £2.
Sister-for-turning popped in today and [STRIKE]jealously eyed up[/STRIKE] openly admired the thick cardigan-jacket (bought for less than £4) I was wearing. Thank goodness she returns to work next week, gives me time to hide my next chazzer loot from her before she sees it.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

Have you any thoughts on whether shops are just stocked from local donors? I sometimes wonder whether they just ship in stock for these sales.0
