Our hospice shop has reduced a lot of books to 25p each or 5 for £1. Not just paperbacks, but a lot of hardbacks too. I have stocked up on about 15 and at the rate I read should last me the year!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

I have got the biggest bargain today. I went to the local scope and bought a gorgeous jumper by the mulberry company ( the handbag people) it's a gorgeous deep purple and is cashmere I paid £3.50 and on the mulberry site a navy one is £550. First who would pay that for a jumper no matter how much money you have and second who would just put it in the charity bag. I'm very grateful they did though

My second purchase is a massive Interlined door curtain in Laura Ashley fabric in very neutral colours it is 90inches by 90 inches and cost me £6.99 this was at the age concern shop.
I only went to look at the cs today as I haven't been this week and I am so glad I did0 -

I nearly ended up in A & E cos of my chazza buy the other day!
In the community chazza I found a pair of lovely pink candle holders in a really heavy bubble glass for £1. Back home I put them in the washing up bowl with some hot soapy water to freshen them up. Plunged my hands in only to find one of them had shattered with the heat of the water and I cut my hand quite badly.....ow! Blood everywhere and as I have to take anti-coagulation medication it just went on and on....I really was contemplating a trip to A & E but after holding my hand over my head & tightly wrapping my hand it eventually stopped bleeding.
Message learned....really hot water and fragile glass do not mix!! Now the proud owner of one candle holder and a very sore hand!!0 -

Owwww that's bad, it could have been worse I suppose, but still not nice and I bet quite scary.
I got a bargain to me today, I paid £14.50 for a handbag in Salvation Army shop-I would never usually pay that much...ever! But it was a like new Fossil Bag, large leather, I think from looking at ebay they are cross body satchels-with large metal key dangling off it. I only knew about the Fossil make as my friend has had one for years-so I know it's £14.50 well spent, and it'll last years.
On ebay the same type have sold for over £60, so I'm very pleased and feel posh!!!:j0 -

I was at the doctor's surgery today, for a checkup on my ankle, and called into the little CS a couple of doors away while waiting for a taxi home. They'd a sale on, all clothes £1. So I'm now the proud possessor of a 1950s wool boucle coat, in a lovely caramel colour, great condition with all it's original buttons!0

£10 Headphones BNIP Local Hospice Shop.
It's disgusting the amount of stuff that gets nicked from chazzers. I was listening today, at the ladies (volunteers) in the chazzer that were talking about a patchwork quilt throw (made at the Hospice) up for sale at £20 that was taken. Maybe somebody didn't have the money?
You will never guess what?- a particular Oxfam has come to it's senses! and started sorting by size and not colour. Hooray at last. Who shops by colour first and not size? - As another poster said "It does my head in". I hope others will follow suit. Whoop whoop it made my day. At least if you are going to colour coordinate then sort by size.0 -

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!
