Hi all:wave:
Wow! Great bargains everyone!
Sorry, forgotten who got the mahooosive cream mixing bowl for under a £. I've seen a lot of these in CS lately at a lot, lot more. Some were even more expensive than buying brand new from a high street store at well over £10 & £15 - think some of them are jumping on the "Shabby Chic, cup-cake baking" bandwagon.
Twas meeeeee! And I'm loving using it....now have ditched the breadmaker, (proper hand made bread is so much nicer!). My old pyrexy-type mixing bowl was less than half the size so I spread less flour around the kitchen/me/cat now
Only bargain this week, so far has been an M & S, black, long sleeved Autograph T shirty top thing - as new for 50p.0 -
I got a lovely tshirt from Next for £1 and Jo Brands autobiography for 50p, been looking out for the book for a while. Starting to get through the list of things I am looking out for quite quickly lately!0

I have shifted a lot of weight so far this year and luckily had kept lots of clothes in all different sizes so have not had to buy much up until now. I still have not quite hit my target so didnt want to spend money on anything new so have been haunting the charity shops lately. I have had far too many fabulous things to list them all, all absolutely fantastic quality and good names on them, next, per una etc.
I bought a lovely mango dress still with the £40 price ticket on for £6.99. I have had so many compliments about the nice clothes, I did break my silence and told a friend about my bargains. She would have been the last person I would have expected to go into a charity shop, but instead she became really excited and said she was going to have a look around them herself. :money:
I was having a sort out of what fit etc and realized that all of my work trousers were from charity shops and probably all of my non work trousers/jeans etc too, if I bought new I would have bought cheap so instead I have much better brands/quality for less money. There are definately better things in smaller sizes though, which is an incentive for me not to put the weight back on again. I have not managed to get anything quite as cheap as people on this thread have mentioned, I have trawled my local high street and there is one shop which is far better stocked than all the others and is also the cheapest. Prices are £4.99 for jeans (I got a next pair, and my OH pays £40 for his from next ) £4.99 for linen trousers (again, from next and completely lined) jackets £7.99 or £8.99, blouses £4.99, dresses £7.99. Some of the books are £2 each, my church sells them cheaper than that so will only buy if its something I really want.
I am loving charity shops at the moment!:T0 -
Not this week but the other week I got a whole load of Boden and White Stuff garments.
So pleased with them! Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

I'm addicted to charity shop shopping, I buy half my stuff from there. Last week I got some great stuff including a brown bolero jacket, a couple of nice tops, a dress and an art deco design glasses case for my mum0

Picked up a jacket with one of the top buttons missing which was no problem, simply snipped off the other and it looked even0
