An Early Learning Centre "Activity Centre" for £2.50. I've also arranged for them (BHF) to come & collect some baby bits, Moses basket and some other bits that I was going to pop onto eBay but I've been so lucky recently it seems only fair to "pay it back"0

I had a summer clothing crisis this week - last summer, I was probably 2 stone heavier than I am now, and had very few clothes anyway... I realised this week that I have quite a few dark 'dresses, tights and boots' type outfits, but nothing summery - I ended up panic buying a linen dress from Matalan for £16 earlier in the week, but decided I needed to do some charity shopping to get some summer clothes without breaking the bank!
yesterday I went charity shopping, and got a Wallis dress (£3.49) - a light cotton tunic type thing with a belt, and a stylised leafy print, a pair of clarks Bonbay lights shoes in teal (I have them in black patent, and love them) - brand new for £7 (cost about £60 in clarks!) a patent teal new look handbag, with the labels still on (new label said £12.99, bought it for £2.50) and three lovely chunky bracelets (teal, purple and black) for £1.
I also bought a pretty autograph (M & S) strapless dress for £6, more of a going out dress than an everyday one, but need to find a strapless bra that works with it, so I'm wondering if I should have bothered!0 -
Thrilled to find a hyoooge, old fashioned cream mixing bowl, great for making a couple of large loaves at a time, for 75p......seen similar in TkMaxx for £15+. Nearly killed me walking home with it tho
Also found a lovely deep, rich, turquoise pashmina for £1. Pretty sure it's genuine and looks new :j
Hurray for chazza shops :T0 -
Hi All,
Need to go back through the thread and read post\thank peeps etc, but this is just a flying visit (on my very late lunchbreak) to update latest purchases.
After my very unsuccessful CS purchases last week I have been more careful and have managed to get some total bargains....
Best bargain of all was the exact kitchen table and chairs I wanted for £50. Its perfect and the one I wanted anyway, and I was just about to order this new for £269  and couldnt beleive it when I spotted the chairs outside the CS, and wandered in and the table was there too.
I also got 6 different summer\vest tops (3 for DD and 3 for me) for 50p each, and a lime green jacket (which sounds horrible but its lovely) for £2, and a brand new Ultimo "suck the fat in" all in one underwear thing for a fiver, which I have been meaning to buy for ages and I am sure these are about the £30-40 mark normally.
These were all purchased on Saturday at my local CS.
Yesterday we headed to the seaside, and it really wasnt intentional but we ended up parking right near the local car boot sale so it would have been rude not to look.
I got DD a BNWT gorgeous floaty dress for a forthcoming family wedding for £4, and my DS bought himself a gaming chair for £3.
Hope you are all enjoying the sun, and getting loads of bargains in the process xxAims for 2014

thanks hobsons choice. I also have a very large metal spiders web with a large spider (sounds orrid but its quite clever) on a the garage wall with a large mirror behind and it sometimes un-nerves people
anyway, today I fell on a bit of jewellery, some imitation pearls with little hooks on so they can be sewed on but will also hang nicely and an indian necklace with brass and crystal beads and large hearts so I can take this apart and use them for decorating the edge of a blind. Both for £1 each and best deal of 10yds of red stripped material for £3.49. I think I will use this when I am making a bag for the lining.
