What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

Something I love about charity shops which is FREE is their window displays; the ones near me consistently have eye-catching, creative and topical windows that change regularly. I walk past about 4 on the way to work and they always make the journey more interesting than the high st chain stores.
My latest bargain was a burgundy pinstriped TM Lewin shirt for £4.They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
Popped into my local charity shops this morning and it was quite disappointing really. One shop in particular was half empty, I had to check whether they were closing they had so little on the racks. I think more people are trying to sell on eBay before donating to the CSs.
After nearly going home empty handed I spied a pair of leopard print flats on the floor in the last CS. Took a closer look - Russell & Bromley, not worn with original box, my size and were originally £95 - in the sale! Lord knows what the full price was!
And the best bit? I only had to hand over £2 for them. Definitely my best bargain of recent weeks.0 -
I found the latest Sophie Kinsella hardback (which is still £18.99 in the shops) for just £1 and a Jacqueline Wilson paperback for my daughter for 30p, so we were both happy!! :jI'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!
I seem to have a nasty habit of killing threads!0 -

Yesterday I visited my brother in Letchworth where they have a plethora of great charity shops.
They are a lot more expensive than my local ones but the quality was good.
I bought a lovely F and F dress for a fiver and a John Lewis Woman skirt for £4 and also an old fashioned serving dish for £3.50.
I was rather perturbed however when it came up as £1250000 on their till receipt but was assured it hadn't gone through on my transaction! Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
