I asked her where it came from and she told me it wasn't expensive as it came from the chaz, she found it uncomfortable to wear and intended to remove the beading. She offered it to me, I asked how much she would take for it and she insisted on gifting it! What a lovely generous person she is :A:A:A
My sister managed to take the edge off my excitement when I told her: she said that I'm always so generous with people it's time I got some kindness back. I don't see being a nice person as making me deserving of anything, I just like lifting people's spirits and seeing them happy.
Mooched round 6 or 7 shops yesterday with no positive result.
Did see a black leather coat, almost floor length (I'm in competition with the 7 dwarves) - think 'The Matrix', I've been after one for ages - but thought it was expensive for the condition it was in.
If it had been in better condition I'd probably have paid the ticket price (£20) or if it had been cheaper I'd have bought it.
Last week I bought a fluorescent-ish apricot denim-style jacket.
I noticed it was a bit faded down one sleeve - probably been in a shop window or open wardrobe near a window - and was going to put it back but the lady mentioned it to the manager (not at my behest, I hasten to add) and she suggested that if I really wanted it, they could put it through the till as 'books' for £2.00 (instead of £4.00).
It will go great with a couple of maxi dresses I have.0 -

A trip to Thirsk yesterday and a trundle around all the chazza shops in the market square produced a nice scarf....pashmina-stylee in shades of bottle and leaf green. I thought it was a bit expensive at £2, (£1 would have been the asking price here) but I really liked it and it fits in with my latest colour scheme!
In another shop I noticed a big box full of old linens....table cloths, napkins, sheets, mats and all sorts. Most of the stuff looked unused as was still in the original packaging and as it was all so old where the things had been folded had yellowed a little. The assistant told me it had come from 'the big house'....whatever that meant! I couldn't believe my eyes...proper white linen sheets and pillowcases and lovely lace edged table cloths. I had to be really strong to resist taking the lot but no way could I be bothered with all the ironing that linen requires. I did take the proper old fashioned linen tea towels though, (the sort with a red strip down the middle with 'glass cloth' written on them). Just given them a good wash and even ironed them, (Ha! only time that's gonna happen!) and they have come up a treat. A dozen of them for just 25p each....... :j0 -
8 packs of kodak photo paper the girl said £1 for the lot so i gave her £2"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0

Was quite funny today... I spotted two bottles of Nivea Visage Cleanser & Toner, priced at 49p each. I had a closer look to make sure they weren't used or out-of-date, and while checking the level of the contents, I accidentally squirted a dollop onto my own coat and a bit went onto the clothing rail that I was standing next to.
In a frantic attempt to deal with the mess I'd made, I realised that the dollop of cream had landed on the arm of a M&S full zip lightweight fleecy top, the very kind that I like nowadays. I have dozens of half zip ones but the full zip ones rarely seem to make it to c/shops.
As an even greater coincidence, it was in my size! And only £2.99. So I bought the top plus the two cleansers, happy days :T .
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Well yesterday I went to the local real aid charity shop and they were having a sale so I got a pair of country casual cords , a dorothy Perkins skirt and a country casuals jumper for £1 each. I then got an Oscar b riding jacket type jacket for £1.50 and a learn crochet activity kit for dd birthday for £2. My final purchase was a boots no7 age defy foundation for £3 they had loads of them and get them direct from boots when the packaging or formulation changes.
Today I met friends for lunch in a nearby town and visited the real aid shop there and got brand new with label basler women's trousers for £1.50 had original of £129.99 on got a Boden top for £1.50 and a pepper berry jumper for ladies with larger chests, again£1.50. The best bit is they are all either neutral or purple tones so my outfits from day 1 and 2 can be combined.
Later today I went to buy dd (soon to be 12) her requested birthday present of super dry clothing. For the £ 9 I have spent on clothes for me totalling two pairs of trousers, three tops and a jacket I could not have even bought a pair of gloves in super dry!😁
Its only when you see real shop prices that you realise how little you can actually get for your money in reality. I actually got her a hoodie. A jumper and a shirt. All in the sale and still cost me nearly £100. Thank goodness for cs!0
