Tuesday was my first visit to a charity shop for a few weeks as have been on holiday, i got a nice burgundy colour Golddigga jacket was really pleased with it £2.50.
Today i went to same shop and they had the same jacket same price but in cream, so i got that plus a pair of wellies for my Grandson 90p.0 -
I haven't found much lately but this week I got a lovely Next coat for my DGD no.4, its red with a mandarin collar and waterfall ruffles all round the 'skirt'. Really pretty for £3.50.Slightly bitter0

I don't know if this counts but I got my sanity back for the bargain price of a small amount of petrol. My spare room has been driving me insane, it's been full of clutter since clearing out a flat for a relative. Over the past few days I've been filling the car with it to take to the cs and little by little the pile has been going down. Have just filled the car again and now I can reach the window at the far end. Thank goodness for c/s's!0

I am interested in everyone's opinion on this.
I am a charity shop regular. I buy virtually everything apart from food there. I've bought loads of clothes today as we are all short of clothes due to increasing age, weight loss or weight gain. I spent around forty pounds which I'm sure most of you would agree is a fair bit.
Anyway I get home and we all try everything on and only around a tenners worth of stuff fits. Normally I just donate stuff that doesn't fit back but seeing as its around thirty pounds worth I think for the first time ever I will return them for a refund as I still need to get us things that fit.
What's everyone else's opinion on returning stuff to a charity shop in my case or generally?
Many thanks0 -
I would maybe return some of the items, but not all of them.0

I know I probably sound a bit sad, but next week I am looking forward to going to town and looking in all the charity shops to see what other bargains I can get! I can see why you lot are addicted to them!

Hi, the shop I volunteer in doesn't give refunds or exchanges (drives me crazy). You could try asking to exchange but ask quietly and make sure the manager isn't within earshot.
Good luck.I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0 -

Ours does do refunds and exchanges as there are no changing rooms which really does drive me potty. As I said I've never ever returned anything before but when 3/4 of what I bought didn't fit which equates to around thirty pounds, as a carer for my disabled daughter and a former bankrupt having learnt the error of my ways this ONE TIME (never to be repeated) I just don't think I can afford not too.0
