what brilliant bargains we are all getting! Yesterday i got a knitted dress from Reiss for £3.99 its for dd and is a lovely neutral colour and in brilliant condition
I once severely embarrassed my OH in Starbucks once by asking a random guy where he got his coat from. We'd been looking for an identical style for him for weeks with no luck. It was reiss and quite expensive as most things from reiss are. They do lovely tailored pieces though. £3.99 is a bargain for anything with a reiss label!“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Ooh, what a brilliant thread!
I'm a committed charity shopper and have been for years. I'm restricting purchases at the mo because I'm moving house, but last month I spent a fiver for the whole month and bought;
M&S stripe 3/4 sleeve top 50p
Great Plains sleeveless cardi for OH £1
M&S vintage (not sure if 60s or 70s) knee length skirt £1
Silver (real silver) ring, 50p
Vintage 1980's Viyella scarf 99p
M&S maxi length denim skirt, new with tags £1
This month I have gone over my usual £1 limit and bought a lovely brand new pair of Kangeroos shoes, Biku style I think, for £6.50. I'm trying to get out of trainers and these are grey suede mary janes with a little wedge, really pretty!0 -
One Austin Reed woman`s shirt £4, salad servers £1, leather gloves for men £2- donated to friend for husband, wool x 2 £4, metal filing tray for lodger 0.30 and little sieve 0.50, Earlier in the week I got some Sanderson curtain fabric for £7.50 and a selection of scarves for £1.
I have also volunteered to help at this charity shop on an ad hoc basis and take things home from there to clean for them and then return them. The c.s. does really well in this area and the money goes to fund a home for people with dementia.0 -
Had a lean couple of weeks with no finds at all
But, today found a BN pair of Ralph Lauren ladies fine cotton jim jams for £3.25
Red cashmere cardie for £3.75
and a turquoise T shirt for 50p0 -
Yes yes yes! I finally found something worthwhile, at a decent price, in a charity shop! Mind you it was 10 miles away from our somewhat overpriced little town, and in a different county... Got myself a lovely dressing gown for just £3, to replace my summer one which is falling apart & has lost its belt. It'd have been £6.99 or more here.Angie - GC Aug25: £374.16/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

Small haul between DD and myself. She got some Romika boots. They were £13.99!! But retail between £60-£80 and some brand new converse type shoes for her but now given to me (£5) I got some almost new Hotter shoes (£6.99) Black lace up trainer style which I think sell for £69. A bit pricier than we would usually pay but worth it.0

Hello everyone, so happy to have the time to go back to my new favourite shop today! I took two bags of donations with me as 'extra payment' towards my Jospeh bargain from last week
Today I picked up a lovely skirt by Silence & Noise (Urban Outfitters) for £3. £37 new and in as-new condition. I am so pleased, I love it.
Lots of great stuff left behind: a Ralph Lauren blazer, £8 (too tweedy for me), a black Coast skirt suit, £5 (I would never wear it) and a lovely spotted Boden dress, £6 (just not my style).
:T to all on this week's bargains!Debt-free & saving for the next big adventure

I bought OH for Christmas an audio book from a local CS, has 6 discs in, looks practically brand new and for only £2.50. Looked it up online and one shop is selling it for £24! I know he'll really like it too and I struggle to get them for him as they are usually really expensive and we're on a very tight budget this year.Sealed Pot Challenge Member no. 048
