loolah - I don't really know Evesham but the Salvation Army was in Bridge St (and there was another charity shop opposite that).

There were 3 charity shops in what appeared to be the main street and the St Richard's Hospice went back a long way. Perhaps there are 2?

ETA - just been on their website and there are 2 and one is a homeware store with furniture. The other is on the High Street.

Went round Kidder this morning and got a floor length black and white striped dress, originally from Primark.

A nice jaeger shift dress in a pink/fawn tweedy mix. Fully lined.
£7.20. I'll need a cardigan or something with sleeves to wear under it for the winter.
    50% cotton50% wool.

Today in the hospice chazza I found a BNWT, floaty, cotton lawn dress with a pin tucked bodice...great for holiday packing as it weighs next to nothing and will be sooooo cool. Original chazza price £5 but reduced to £2.50 :D

Found some Marco Tozzi strappy wedge sandles and a really nice black Apricot dress for £1 each. Quite pleased. :)
  • Not a CS bargain of the week, but a "sleeper" - a picture I got in a CS last Autumn. It was sitting propped up at the till, a large Victorian oil painting of a country scene. I looked at the back, and there was a small typed label on the frame that it was a fake Herring, naming the faker. It had a tear in it, but was only £3 and I reckoned it was worth taking to a restorer (I'm lucky - there is a good one near here...) The repair cost £80 - not a bad total price for a Victorian oil.

I took it to the Antiques Roadshow yesterday, the expert identified it immediately and valued it at up to £700!

Not actually a charity shop buy but a jumble sale bargain. I found a Remoska cooker (on Sale at Lakeland from £145.99) and it cost me----50p. It had been tested and was found to be working but I need to actually cook something in it now.
